Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for Payroll, Human Resources, Reporting, Recruiting, Onboarding, and Performance Management (just launched!). We have started implementing Headcount Planning.
Pros
- Client support - we're very happy with this!
- Implementations - the support we've received when implementing new modules has been excellent
- Performance Management - although we've just launched this module, I really like what I've seen so far. The journals will be a great add to how we manage and document performance.
Cons
- Reporting - the standard reports are great and I know how to add fields, etc. Likely this is just an area where I need to learn more.
- Does not accommodate dotted line reporting relationships or situations where we have a consultant (non-employee) in place for an employee out on leave.
- Performance Management - improved security and version control issues we had with our old process. Allows for easier reporting and tracking.
- Onboarding - improved new hire experience and sets the tone for new hires that we are organized and modern. We've actually received compliments on this.
- Improved communication by posting organization-wide notices on Paylocity. Most of our employees do not have company email addresses and this is a way we can quickly get information out. For example, we had a widespread payroll issue last year and were able to quickly get the message out to everyone, explaining what was going on and what they should expect.
Less time spent on emails! And less time searching through our mailboxes. By moving processes to Paylocity, we've reduced time and frustration, while improving the experience for our employees and managers.
Improved visibility into our organization. We can go to Paylocity for information on an employee, and we can run reports. This not only helps us better understand what's going on, but it also dramatically reduces the time HR spends responding to requests for data.
