Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity moved us from a paper-based system to a more streamlined electronic one. The pieces that work, do work well. We currently utilize Paylocity for onboarding, HR & Payroll, Learning, Time & Labor, a few workflows. We are now able to report on most things our executives ask us for, manage labor cost by identifying issues early, have associates' information at our fingertips, and reduce paper, among many other things.
Pros
- Ability to add outside company electronic learnings to their learning database
- Mobile app - ease of use for our associates. Access to their information 24/7 and at their fingertips
- Access to assistance above your immediate account manager if needed
Cons
- Support. We would prefer a structure when you call in for assistance you speak to your account manager, not random people. So, there is consistency in your support
- When you do have an issue, the follow up if it cannot be quickly resolved is lacking
- How transfers, reactivations are handled between company ids
- If you are going to direct your clients here for assistance, the articles should be accurate and distinguish instructions between a company set or individual company id
- There should be more flow through. Requiring a client to go into each company id to make the same edit and/or update instead of making the change at the CS level and it flowing through to all companies
- Implementation - our first one was a disaster we are still working through. Subsequent ones have gotten better
- We are able to report on most requests now
- HR team is getting closer to being paperless
We were paper based before. We have been able to automate all that is mentioned. In addition, giving the employees the ability to manage their own time from punches, to corrections, to time off, pay stubs, W-2's, etc. For onboarding, we are able to complete a lot of signs offs we require before their first day.
We only use Community consistently. Some employees will use the peer recognition system. Although all associates have email, not all can access on their mobile devices. Through community we are able to deliver messages to all employees consistently and at their fingertips. We are able to share need to knows, nice to knows, etc.
- Workday Workforce Management, Oracle PeopleSoft HCM, Cornerstone Galaxy, HotSchedules and iCIMS Talent Cloud
They are all different. It is hard to compare anyone to Workday. They are just on a different level. The way changes flow through their system is amazing. Learning in Paylocity has improved with being able to auto assign now.
