Overall Satisfaction with Procore

We are a General Contractor that has been using Procore for almost 3 years now to manage various construction projects. Procore is used for our production scheduling, drawings documentation and management, RFI's, Submittals, Subcontracts, Safety documentation, and Financials. We have just completed our first project since implementing Procore, it is a 381 unit Apartment complex, and it has been very beneficial in its reliability, portability, and gained efficiencies we have realized since implementing this application, and also demanding that our subcontractors also use Procore for the access of our project information. There are many other modules/capabilities that Procore offers, but we have not yet taken advantage of those opportunities, but plan on investigating them as time allows, to see if they will help our company in further raising the bar for us.
  • Procore always provides the "current" drawing when requested, but also allows for immediate access to down-revision versions if needed. So gone are the days of outdated drawings in the field and carrying around pounds of dirty, unreadable paper drawings!
  • Procore's portability and access by any device that has web access is invaluable, regardless whether in the office, on the job site, or anywhere, so long as you have connectivity to the web you can get to the information you need.
  • Procore is very flexible in being able for our company defined "Procore Admin" to define what kinds of visibility and permissions users may have within their Procore access.
  • It would be nice when creating a new user, to be able to simply "copy" the profile of an existing user to create the new user's profile, but before "finalizing" the profile to simply edit those fields which are unique to the new user being created, such as the name, phone number and e-mail address, as this would be a big time saver. This would be similar to the "Copy Daily Log" functionality, which helps greatly.
We used Prolog for a number of years, primarily for contracts, RFI's, Submittals, and Financials but found it to be very cumbersome and non-user friendly. It was slow and the user training was very poor from what I experienced.
We tried using PlanGrid for a brief time on one of our projects for drawings management but found that Procore had much more to offer, and was a far more robust application that met all of our needs. It was an easy decision to drop PlanGrid and implement Procore.
The functionality and accessibility of Procore have been very beneficial from the standpoint of the sharing, and discussion of designs, field issues, solutions between us, our clients, our subcontractors, our City Building Officials, and our consultants. There have been numerous times when a field condition has arisen where we have beenforced to create an RFI, and the ability to do this from the field where you can take pictures, attach them to the RFI, and ship it all off to the engineer, or architect. They can have immediate access to this data on Procore, and we are able to discuss the solution in moments when necessary is invaluable.
Then when a Building Inspector wishes to see the RFI response, while in the field, it is very easy to pull up the RFI response, and see all the supporting documention from the field by simply calling it up on his smartphone, or tablet.
  • Yes, to all of the stated benefits. We have saved time, increased efficiencies, reduced the amount of paper normally used, and made far fewer mistakes by our subcontractors because they were always using the "current" drawings.
  • We initially did get some pushback from our subcontractors when they were told we would be using Procore exclusively on our project, and that they would need to request user access from us, and they'd need to have smartphones, or tablets to access the application., but once they got onto PROCORE, and we trained them how to access the data they required, they became "believers" very quickly, and stated they wished all of their other clients used PROCORE!
  • Gain visibility into projects
  • Ensure information is accessible and up to date
  • Document job site conditions
  • Report on incidents and inspections
  • Identify job site risks
  • Track cost impacts from the field
  • Streamline financial reporting
  • Improve forecast accuracy
Procore was implemented into our company almost 3 years ago, and we made the commitment then, that all new projects going forward would be run on Procore. We now have completed two projects using Procore, and have 5 other projects in progress that are on Procore. We haven't utilized all of the functionality of Procore, but we are still learning, and are taking baby-steps into those un-used functionalities, but will implement those things which make sense for our needs.
Once our company made the decision to implement Procore into our business model, we first started out with a small city park project, and a 381 Unit High Density Apartment Complex, which both of these fully integrated and executed on Procore. We are pleased with our decision to utilize Procore, and they have supported us well.
Procore is extremely well suited for the Construction field and its ability to create, retain, display, and access data content. It is a wonderful collaboration tool, and I can't imagine my job without it.
