Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a small construction company building and remodeling houses in the Pacific Northwest. I use QBO for bookkeeping, project accounting and payroll (3 employees). I handle most the bookkeeping activities at the end of each week, payroll at the end of each month, and my tax accountant handles quarterlies and annual filings.

Usability

I use a small subset of features and they work pretty well, but sometimes they get broken during upgrades and it takes some time to resolve or work around.

Support Rating

Self help is pretty good, but can be misleading. Chat support is better for specific issues.

Likelihood to Recommend

Program features and usability are pretty good and generally way more than I need. The way they bundle features drives you to select the more expensive option. This probably works okay for merchants and larger companies, but it's a financial burden for small companies like mine. In my case, I wish there was an option to trade off inventory management features for project management features. But I have to pay for both (currently $860/yr 2021). The payroll package is convenient, but too expensive (currently $1200/yr).
