Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online

We are a bookkeeping practice, and we have most of our clients on this software. Keeps financials in one program, track GST and BAS figures to keep compliant with the ATO. Upload photos of bills, removing the need to pay for another program, create bills and pay them from QBO. Process payroll and submit super payments.

Pros

  • Offers multiple features that other programs don't have e.g. receipt upload and super payments
  • All transactions have a trail in a loop that is easy to follow. No dead ends.
  • Really user friendly and simple to understand

Cons

  • The new bank feed design is more complicated than the previous design which was great.
  • The new reports design is more complicated than the previous design which was great.
  • Not being able to manually create an employee anymore
  • The new invoice design is more difficult and has created issues
  • It is an easy software for people to use so we can teach our clients to be confident and independently use the program
  • The receipts feature means customers don't have to spend money on other programs so they don't have a problem paying our bills
Currently it is very user friendly, its intuitive and every area talks to each other and is linked. The new changes they are trying to implement aren't heading in this direction however.
All areas are self explanatory and not over complicated
Xero has alot of dead ends, you cant click through to things, you have to go all the way back out, theres no shortcuts, so it takes alot of time. With both, the transactions dont let you know they are connected to a bank feed transactions, you are just assuming they are until you reconcile, so alot of manual entry mistakes can be made.

Great for most businesses, user friendly, affordable. The app is good for on the go accounting and invoicing.
