Timely Payments and Easy Usability
Overall Satisfaction with Rippling
I use Rippling on both my phone and my computer because it is easy to use. The main use is to receive international payments in dollars and Colombian pesos quickly. I also use it to request days off, such as vacations and holidays, and to request expense reimbursements through a simple form. As a manager, I used it to handle employee reviews and for onboarding and offboarding tasks.
Pros
- What Rippling does best is that the interface is not confusing.
- The payments arrive on time and very quickly, which is excellent.
- It is very good for setting up accounts to receive dollars and Colombian pesos.
- The expense reimbursements arrive in the bank account in the next pay period without problems.
Cons
- Maybe it's a setting I don't have. I would like to receive an email when my days off are approved. Right now, I have to log in and look at the notification in the bell, or my manager has to tell me. I don't receive an email.
- There was a problem when the company mistakenly fired me, and I was reinstated. I had to create a new account, and I couldn't receive payment in my dollar account in Panama like before. I had to contact support to fix that configuration.
- When I request time off, I am usually asked to transfer approvals, but I am not a manager anymore. I guess this is a misconfiguration on our side.
- Positive: The company can manage payments in multiple currencies. On multiple occasions, the company has asked which currency the international contractors want to be paid in.
- Positive: It has nice onboarding and offboarding automations and tasks, which prevent missing processes during these operations.
- Positive: Payment arrives on time, even before the Rippling notification, which allow us to pay bills quickly.
- Plane and 15Five
1. Not sure if I picked the right "Plane" software, as it was previously called "Pilot". It was very nice for payment, but the company needed more features, like HR management, integration for Single Sign On, onboarding tasks, etc., features that Plane didn't have during that time.
2. About 15Five, this is currently used for Check-in and performance reviews. We previously used Rippling for this, but I don't know why the company decided to do it on 15Five. Looks like in 15Five the questions can be quantitative, I remember that in Rippling they were qualitative.
