Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
I use for accounting and maintenance of books as per the standards. Helps me to maintain supporting documents at one place instead of multi storage locations. Helps me to keep track of the entries by using audit trail which identifies the number of persons who modified the transactions. I can assign tasks to my subordinates & keep track of the tasks instead of doing in a separate software.
Any reversals or amounts received from vendors cannot be recorded as General journal does not allow me to include vendor name, so I had to use any expenses GL code for posting such entries.

- Maintaining the supporting documents
- keeping track of the audit trail
- restricting the user level access
- Posting payments to specific bill, thus helping to tag the payment to correct bill and doesnt require special process for linking the bills with payment
- Showing adjustment entries separately, so any entries posted after books closure can be viewed individually
- Need to post receipts from vendor using vendor name, instead of posting as an General Journal
- Option to tag TDS or GST rates to vendors, so it automatically calculate the value in AP entries. I usually have to calculate the values manually & post but it sometimes result in error because of change in rates
- Set threshold limits to GL codes, so it triggers warning when the transactions/balance is those GLs exceeds the limits. Like in case of petty cash, if any cash receipt from single person per day exceeds 20,000 then its a red flag.
- Option to calculate depreciation based of the rates linked to particular Fixed Asset
- Helps to maintain books with ease
- Tracks the entry as per the requirements of the companies Act
- Better security as without access no one can make any modifications
I am not entirely sure on which automation as we post the entries as usual in General Ledger and accounts payable. Other Accounts receivable is not used by me and do not have the order management in my accounting system.
yes, I used multi-entity & Global consolidations. Multi entity helps me to shift between the entities easily with a single login details. It does require a separate login. Even if any unauthorized person makes any changes, it can be tracked easily based on the audit trail. Consolidation helps us to merge the financials & compare the effect on a high level.

Tally does not have the option to track the audit trail and does not support in attaching the documents. It does not restrict the user access as anyone can make changes in it.
Where as SAP uses function codes which is difficult for a new person to understand. It takes time to get familiar with function codes. IT does have the option to attach the supporting documents along with the entry.
