Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic SL1
We use ScienceLogic across our organization for monitoring and asset management. As an MSP, ScienceLogic gives us the insight needed to ensure a quick response to issues arising on critical infrastructure that would affect us internally as well as our customers.
Pros
- ScienceLogic is generally quick to respond to issues we find.
- ScienceLogic provides very detailed monitoring solutions for the major product vendors.
Cons
- QA does not test the product to the scale that some customers may use it leading to potentially revenue impacting outages.
- Documentation around some of the power-packs released for public consumption.
- Certain things have been broken in the existing UI and have gone overlooked while developing the "new" UI.
- Proactive monitoring of storage arrays has saved both us internally and many customers from potential revenue impacting events.
- We were able to consolidate multiple legacy monitoring platforms into ScienceLogic saving us > 100k in product licensing fees.
Yes - Traverse, Nagios, MRTG, Hobbit, Zabbix, PRTG, Cacti
ScienceLogic has given us very detailed visibility across our infrastructure.
We are now using ScienceLogic to monitor Nutanix, CommVault, and Zerto.
Currently no automation of workflows.
- Domain registration monitoring
ScienceLogic is a much more mature and robust than the previously used platforms (that are not even available in the selection above). SL is the whole package when it comes to a customizable solution for monitoring, ticketing, and external system integration. They are constantly improving the offering.
