We are using ScienceLogic SL1 to monitor our whole network infrastructure across the world. It is used by multiple departments so that we have a single monitoring solution.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Dynamic Applications are a huge plus. This allows for flexibility to track custom items.

Cons

Reporting is somewhat lacking on some data rollup functions.

It has not changed.

ScienceLogic Integration

We can alert on very specific applications and services running in our Linux environment.

SolarWinds N-central, PRTG Network Monitor and SolarWinds Remote Monitoring & Management

SL1 is must better at datacenter management and insights than its competition.

ScienceLogic SL1 is well suited for performing latency checks across MLPS links and alerting when necessary. The ability to add python-driven dynamic applications gives us the flexibility to track these things and be able to give our customers the best network possible.
