Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic SL1

We use ScienceLogic SL1 for monitoring our clients and as our main SNMP poller. ScienceLogic SL1 does an excellent job integrating with our ticketing system and alerting the client when there is an issue. It has many robust features that can be added and tuned to get the alerting dialed in to exactly how you want. We haven't been able to find another tool that matches what it is capable of doing. Also, we are regularly adding new power packs to monitor new equipment and software. Support has been very responsive when we are having issues and are always able to help us to resolve and do any tuning needed. As we grow, we feel ScienceLogic SL1 will continue to be able to handle our needs and provide the best monitoring for ourselves and our clients.

ScienceLogic SL1 is very robust and we can tune it for our customers' specific needs.

ScienceLogic SL1 Reliability

SL1 has been very stable and so far has not had any unplanned outages. Any errors that we see we work with support and and get them resolved in a timely manor. We also try to run close to the latest version to make sure we have all the patching up to date and support works with us to install them.
We use the recommended server specs and performance has always been good. Pages load quickly and we haven't experienced any lagging. It is very complex but reporting and using it is easy and offers a lot of different reporting options. Integrating it with other software like ticketing software doesnt slow it down at all that we have noticed.

Integrating ScienceLogic SL1

They have a great setup for integrating other tools and support is very helpful. Their documentation on setting up a api between tools is a great resource to use.
  • Auvik
It is pretty easy to have Auvik create events in SL1 based on failed backups or unable to connect to devices
  • Service Now
Yes they support it.
  • API (e.g. SOAP or REST)
No others
Read through the documentation, it is really straight forward
