Matt's ScreenConnect Review
Overall Satisfaction with ScreenConnect
We run a chain of restaurants, and we use ScreenConnect at our corporate office as a quick way to help our managers troubleshoot a variety of things on their office computers. Its biggest benefit is it saves us a lot of time when people run into issues. Rather than having to try to walk them through things on the phone, we can easily remotely hop onto their computer and assist them. The fact that they do not have to be present to allow us access is a very nice feature, so we can help them out any time, even if they are not at their computer.
Pros
- Unattended Access is huge.
- Easy to add computers to the support line
Cons
- Some of the Admin settings and setup areas are a little advanced for an average user.
- Would like a Desktop version, rather than having to go through a web browser
- Efficiency gain through fast connection time
- Ease of use... once it is on their computer they do not have to think about it anymore and I can help them out any time they need it
- Quick download for end user
We have tried TeamViewer and Skype for our screen sharing needs, but the biggest reason ScreenConnect is better than those for our purposes is because it does not require the "Screen Sharing Computer" to allow access every time. In other words, once a computer is set up for me to access, I can instantly remote into it any time I want without needing to involve anyone on the other end. With TeamViewer and others it was a chore just getting someone on the other end to go through the proper steps to take over their computer.
