Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
ScreenConnect is being used by our IT department to troubleshoot workstations remotely.
- Very simple automatic deployment via MSI.
- Custom MSI files for deployment.
- Easy to use interface - the last update is fantastic.
- Performance isn't as nice as some alternatives. There may be ways to tweak that but we have't found them yet. It's still very good.
- No local access - must go over the Internet. Alternatives offer both options.
- The way it handles multiple screens could be improved. Hot switching would be nice.
- Increased efficiency due to being able to handle multiple sessions.
- No longer required to travel 30+ minutes to deal with remote tickets.
- Inexpensive cost compared to alternatives.
I've used all three of the products identified above. We prefer ScreenConnect over all three. However, would love to see some sort of local IP-based connection inside. Requiring internet access is a [problematic] for production machines that can't reach it.
