Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
I found Splashtop when looking for a good AND affordable way to remote in and work from home and it was exactly what I was looking for. Works great for me.
- Multi-to-multi monitors. Makes a huge difference in my productivity.
- Connection has been really good, almost zero lag.
- With some programs certain functionality does not work when remoted in. So far I have not noticed anything like that with Splashtop.
- No real complaints. One thing is it could be a little more user-friendly to get your second monitor set up, but it's not a big deal, you just have to open the other window up and drag it to your other monitor. When I haven't used it for a while, I find myself having to re-remember how to do it. It could be just slightly more idiot-proof.
- I can't put a number on it, but having the ability to remote in when I need to take care of something instead of commuting to work is a great benefit for me.
- Having something reliable is big also, it has always worked well for me.
I will admit that I don't know a ton about cybersecurity, but I have had no issues at all with Splashtop.
It literally took me just a few minutes to get going with it. It was great.
Yes - I used Team Viewer for a time. But it was so expensive. I could see paying their price if it were something I used everyday, but even then I have to ask myself why when Splashtop works great and is much more affordable. Team Viewer might have more features, but if there's not something specific that only they offer, save your money.
