Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop

Splashtop is being used in select departments for when those personnel need to work remotely.

Pros

  • Give direct access to your company server
  • Gives access to all tools your company offers.
  • Accessible anywhere

Cons

  • Being able to view multiple remote monitors at the same time.
  • Mirrored screen is often hard to read due to small size
  • When zooming in, the field of view lessens.
  • No privacy when working remotely.
  • It's free
  • It's easy to install
I have not had connection issues. I have been able to log in and out successfully each time I used the product. Our IT person would be the one to contact support if there was an issue, but I am unaware of any reported issued. Software seems to work as designed.
My log-in does not require me to verify the device or use two-factor authentication, or encryption.

Yes

It is well suited for times when a VPN is not appropriate. It is not appropriate for working on sensitive projects remotely, as anyone near your base system can see your screen.
