Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
We tried Splashtop once in supporting our remote clients of Dubai as per the requirement of the client; but it did not work that well compared to other remote desktop applications and apparently we fall back to AnyDesk to support the client. This was used to handle the support services of a commercial client and we mainly used it to access in remote PC and laptops of the client to solve their other IT issues.
Pros
- It is easy to use
- it has nice UX/UI
- works well in low bandwidth
- Have a nice report
- can be free for personal use
Cons
- Business use deal should be free
- the remote monitoring needs to be improved
- the alert generation service needs to be better
- logs should be concise
- We did not buy the professional one
- We used to use this on personal use level though we had a client who preferred this software
- It is popular in Middle-East zone only
- We did not want to invest in such system
It does not meet our need. Fair and simple. The software is not very good and it needs money to buy professional edition. Only personal use is free for this software. We did not want to pay for features of a software that has many other similar featured alternatives. It's losing marketing actually.
The UX was good to some extent. The UI was user-friendly and easy to setup. But it took a lot of time to install the software and there are too many features that are not working in the non-paid or free version. This version is for personal use only. So, it lost its appeal.
