Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise

We use Splashtop to support a growing hybrid (remote and in-person) workforce. The IT departments are the users and managers of Splashtop. We assist employees at home as well as in other branches, to save drive time and downtime. Splashtop has even allowed us to diagnose and fix remote tablets and phones.
  • Splashtop simplifies the end-user experience; the agent software downloads almost automatically for them.
  • Easy learning curve for technicians new to this kind of software.
  • The ability to transfer needed files or installers directly to end-users through the remote connection.
  • Lots of updates-- may be good, maybe bad, but tend to come when you're just about to remotely support someone. If we could schedule them when we're not actively trying to use Splashtop, that would be better.
  • We saved time and money by being able to help remote workers get back to work and reach out to branches without having to drive there.
Splashtop support is one of the reasons we decided to go with them. They've been fantastic.
Security is paramount in our organization. Splashtop has 256 AES encryption as well as 2FA. Those were big selling points to the CIO.
The solution was easy to implement and the software was an easy to download. Setting up the technicians was quick and training was only about 30 minutes for everyone to get up to speed and for me to answer questions.

For a remote support tool, Splashtop has been fantastic. You ask your user to go to a website and then a download starts for a temp installer. It even knows if the user is on a Mac or Windows PC. The end-user gets a code, which they give to a technician and remote support can begin. After the session, the code is broken and not usable again for that machine. Security is a high priority for us and because of that, even though we have it, we don't use the agent-installed/unattended access. So that won't be reviewed here. You have a bevy of tools at your disposal too-- file transfer, screen mark-up, whiteboard, technician sharing, multi or single-screen view (for multiple monitors). If you're saying, "So what, I have a tool that does all of this...", then let me add that I have used most of the other Big Guys out there. I'm familiar with what they can and can't do. But Splashtop has impressed me (and my techs) with the value for the price, the features, ease of use, and also the support community at their company. If you're skeptical, I encourage you to sign up for a trial of their software and try it out. I think you'll be glad you did.
