Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

TeamViewer is used to allow access to systems that we don't want or can't have open the usual ports for RDP or another built-in application for gaining remote access to systems. In this time of pandemic and working [remotely] at home or another location it is imperative to be able to access applications and systems remotely, but securely and with little hassle.
  • Remote access to servers with an at terminal like experience
  • Easy access to multiple systems with little setup and hassle
  • Secure communication with multifactor authentication
  • The interface can be a little confusing to start with, but a little invested time overcomes this
  • Better organization for using with multiple systems
  • It is a solid program with few faults I can think of
  • Remote access is crucial for remote management in our business
  • Time savings from having access to multiple servers at once
  • Multi-user support sessions is a game changer
Honestly, we use both products, but for those instances where we do not have a VPN tunnel to our remote sites or datacenters, TeamViewer is a great option for remote access. The product offering is well developed, mature, and had a large host of features that makes it a program that I love using.

Do you think TeamViewer delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with TeamViewer's feature set?

Yes

Did TeamViewer live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of TeamViewer go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy TeamViewer again?

Yes

The agent install is clean and easy to implement. It would be nice to not have an agent that has to be installed on the target machine, but in order to offer encryption and data security, it is a small price to pay to have the peace of mind that brings. For times when other remote access software just doesn't cut it, I know I can turn to TeamViewer in a pinch and I like using the software.
We require the highest level of security in our systems and remote access. The high level of security and MFA offered by TeamViewer is one of the big reasons that it works for our organization. The certifications and high attention to the best security practices made the decision easy on using TeamViewer for our remote access needs.
When VPNs are not available and remote access to servers or other systems is needed TeamViewer is a great option for its ease of setup and its simplicity for accessing remote systems. The interface is well laid out and with a little time investment becomes simple to navigate. Not really ideally suited for large implementations, but I have only ever used it for accessing a handful of systems.

Using TeamViewer

I feel like Teamviewer has a good interface and I enjoy using the product. The only complaint I have is while trying to connect to a remote server I do get confused some some of the options of remote control as one will only work if you have save your credentials. The fine pring of the Remote Control options does indicate the difference, but it not immediately intuitive without some experience with the product. Once I have access to the remote machine the interface is pleasant and easy to use, much the same as sitting in front of the computer.

  • Navigating within the remote terminal. Functions close to being in front of the console
  • File transfer useful, though feels slow, but handy when needing files retrieved securely from a remote server.
  • I appreciate and rely on the security required to connect to remote machines giving me confidence the data is secure.
  • Having more that a few remote systems could be challenging to manage
  • The Remote Control options can be confusing about which action to use, but overcome with a little experience.
  • No other items come to mind, I enjoy using TeamViewer
