Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

The main use case of TeamViewer is to remotely access users' computers, whether they are working from home or at a different location within the office. It enables our IT group to quickly see an issue and find a solution, or install an update without having physical access to the computer.
  • Remote access
  • Remote control of users computer
  • See who's computers are online and accessible
  • Windows app vs. chrome app is a bit confusing
  • Multi-monitor support
  • Clarity to user when requesting access
  • Saves ten+ hours per month across the group in terms of travel time
  • Enables better support of users working from home, which could save on office space
  • Allows for visiblity to users logged in which could allow you rudimentary tracking
Immediately as it reduced the need for visits, the biggest hurdle is internal adoption of non-in-person visits.
Far more robust than the other basic options we've used as this is meant for a corporate environment where it supports multiple devices and users. The general device management is helpful and it is less taxing on computing resources to use as compared to things like Teams or Chrome Remote Desktop.

We utilized single sign-on to ease users' ability to access the application. We do care about security and thus multi-factor authentication is a valued attribute of any application we choose to implement in our organization.
Well suited where you need to be able to access and control a users' computer. Ideal where you want to be able to centrally manage computers which you need to routinely access vs. requesting a login code.

Probably overkill when you only need to access a single computer or do so irregularly. In these cases Teams or Chrome RDP would likely suffice.
