Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

I was not involved in the implementation
We use TeamViewer to connect with out tech team which is based in Cape town as currently we based in another state which is Gauteng. this platform makes it very easy when u get issues on our laptops that needs urgent attention and assistance from the tech and IT team to remotely connect to our PC's in order to troubleshoot any issue.

Pros

  • Remote access control
  • Cross platform compatibilty
  • Security Encryption
  • 24/7 unattended access

Cons

  • easier transfer & sharing
  • I am not sure with this one
I wont be able to answer this question to best of my knowledge. I just know that the platform is great to use more especially within a remote work space environment.
Slack is a similar process one can use to connect with your teammates to. however TeamViewer is best as you dont really need someone on the other side to accept the connection and this platform is best for managing servers, office PC's and or Family devices.

Yes

TeamViewer is less appropriate for team meetings and standups. however its more appropriate for File Transfering and sharing while remotely connected to simply easily drag and drop files. It is also appropriate as it has an easy chat function and video call function that you can use while your team mate is connected.
