Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

The implementation process is good. The setup was relatively easy, and the rollout speed was good. We had a satisfactory adoption and onboarding with the platform. The platform is pretty user-friendly and overall a smooth process to get up and running. It was a fast rollout across multiple devices and a stable deployment across different operating systems.
We use TeamViewer for remote support, access, and device management within our organization. There are some notable imitations, but overall, it is highly capable in our operational environments. I am sure that I will have a chance to share the pros and cons of the platform and recommendations as well.

Pros

  • It is secure and eliminates the need for VPN for remote users.
  • It offers a 2FA to insure that security is strong for our system.
  • Can save time with file transfer syncs for labels, batches and other files.
  • It supports multi device and cross platform usage within our warehouse.

Cons

  • The cost of the licenses seems to increase over time.
  • Wi-Fi dead zones with warehouse can cause instability.
  • There are too many prompts for updates, that interrupt operations.
  • The amount of users on at once becomes clunky, limiting collaborations.
  • License cost are high.
  • Limited multi user collaboration.
  • Interruption in connections of remote users.
  • Support multi platform.
  • No CPN required.
  • Session recording and file syncs.
Around one and a half years.
Compared to the RMM features of NinjaOne, Datto RMM, and N-Able, TeamViewer's RMM toolkit is thinner and less automated. The TeamViewer RMM features are not as robust as those of dedicated RMM platforms, like the ones I mentioned above. This is an important point to keep in mind when considering it for your organization.

Do you think TeamViewer delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with TeamViewer's feature set?

Yes

Did TeamViewer live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of TeamViewer go as expected?

No

Would you buy TeamViewer again?

Yes

Helpful for organized IT teams supporting multiple manufacturing warehouse zones. Useful for training, auditing, and meeting ISO/quality or compliance documentation requirements. False positives can lock users out unexpectedly, particularly common when supporting remote home users. Session connections can be interrupted, which is painful when configuring warehouse automation systems and printers that require a restart.
