Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

The customer service from my immediate team is great. They struggle and have many problems with "fixing" the errors. It is unclear if that is due to their ability or the software limitations.
Very limited from a payroll processing standpoint. My Rep has to process most items because all I have the ability to do is enter hourly hours and other earnings. I cannot adjust a salaried individual or enter PTO.
Across the whole organization. We use it for payroll, HR, and expense reporting.

Pros

  • TriNet's Human Consultants is their biggest asset.

Cons

  • The "new" software is lacking significantly. Most days it doesn't work and I just go back to previous version.
  • Payroll errors are too frequent. These errors include errors in deductions, non-payment of employees and employees magically being terminated in the system for no reason.
  • Paid Time off feature is lacking. Admin user is unable to correct errors in calculations. Payroll administrator is unable to enter PTO on timesheet for employees.
  • TriNet has made payroll tax filing easy. With the exception of the NC tax collection call I am dealing with currently. They failed to make a payment timely.
  • Having Human Consultants there to provide advice has enabled us to extend the hiring of an HR Manager slightly longer.

ADP

Overall they have a lot of the same features, but you don't have all the errors with ADP.


It will not allow me to select zero. I would never recommend TriNet to a colleague. Their payroll processing and software are both lacking significantly.
