Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use TriNet for new employee on-boarding including background checks, for payroll, and for benefits. We are a small company without an HR professional and appreciate having a company that can provide these services.

Pros and Cons

Pros

New employee on-boarding is smooth and TriNet drives the process.
Payroll runs automatically.
Choosing benefits and having claims processed is easy with TriNet.

Cons

I really don't have any suggestions for improvement in the services that we use.

Support Rating

TriNet reps are always responsive and solve our problems promptly. They are also patient and friendly.

Usability

I like working with reps better than trying to navigate the portal. It's not all that intuitive.

Return on Investment

The biggest benefit to me is simply providing services seamlessly as if it is a part of the organization. I simply don't have the manpower to process employee workflow. It allows me to focus on other things.
Payroll and benefits are for the most part handled without issue. This means I don't have to step in and fix problems which has at times been a big problem with other companies.

Alternatives Considered

ADP Streamline Payroll, Paychex Accounting Online and Namely

TriNet has by far been the best payroll service. Namely was also good for benefits.

Likelihood to Recommend

Since we are a small company, outsourcing HR and related services is very beneficial. I am not sure how well this would work for a large company.
