Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

TriNet is a Professional Employer Organization that co-employs our workforce and assists in HR support, payroll and HRIS. They have been around a long time but unfortunately, in my opinion, have not evolved or kept up with the times. There is a lot of manual process.

Pros

  • In my experience, Some of their reps are very educated in HR.
  • You can usually get to a live personal quickly.

Cons

  • In my experience, Buggy and old-fashioned platform.
  • In my experience, Lack of meaningful benefits negotiation support.
  • In my experience, Lack of ownership and partnership overall.
  • In my opinion, Not a good value for the pricing.
  • TriNet made it difficult for us to operate smoothly
  • I think TriNet's payroll is very decent, probably their strongsuit
  • TriNet is not an all-in-one and, in my opinion, has very poorly designed add-ons
I had to get rid of TriNet twice now due to lack of partnership. I strongly recommend others in the space for better interface/platform, benefits negotiation, and overall experience. In my opinion, TriNet has fallen way behind and are passing on their issues to the clients.
Hit or miss. You need to get lucky with the rep on the phone. In my experience, some are not so great and some are great. Of those who are great, some are invested in helping and some are not. You need all those stars to align to get service needed. Could be worse though. I've definitely experienced worse CS teams.
Not listed in the database is CoAdvantage, another excellent competitor that is under the radar. In any case, all three offer dramatically higher quality product, better benefits negotiation and stronger customer support. In my opinion, they are clearly going after clients who are tired of TriNet and similar services who have become complacent in their service and product development.

Do you think TriNet delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with TriNet's feature set?

No

Did TriNet live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of TriNet go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy TriNet again?

No

I would never recommend TriNet unfortunately. They are not going to advocate for the client when the rubber hits the road. I also understand they've recently had some financial difficulties, so I suspect this is driving some of the poor support as well. We had a really disappointing renewal last year for our BIS. It was easy to get much better quotes and long-term support from other PEOs and quality brokers.
