Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro)

We use it for our faculty and staff payroll (non-student). UltiPro adds incredible efficiency to almost all HR processes, from payroll processing and tax services, electronic talent management and benefit enrollment, comprehensive recruiting and onboarding systems, and time management.
  • Payroll processing and tax services.
  • Customer Success Platform provides in depth training resources and how to guides.
  • Recruiting and Onboarding platforms are easy to use.
  • Inflexible - it's a comprehensive system but does not allow for process customization leading to several work arounds and still manual work.
  • Reporting (business intelligence) is confusing and hard to use; no analytics dashboard.
  • Customer service (ticket system) has recently been slow.
  • Time savings.
  • Continuity of employee experience (most HR needs is in one system).
  • Ease of accessing historical information.
My experience with UltiPro is much better than PeopleSoft and Lawson. This is a very comprehensive, easy to use system.
UKG is a quick system navigating between pages and generating reports. No concerns here.
Support is mixed. Most tickets are responded to right away, but other tickets take time. We submitted a ticket 6 weeks ago due to Year End Payroll Balancing issues but have not heard back. I have a ticket open from October without any one reaching out yet. UltiPro has a wonderful self-service Customer Success platform with how to guides, videos, etc., but some things are more complicated than using written instructions.
I had questions on 1095c generation and they resolved my concern within a few hours with friendly, informative service.
UltiPro will work well for an organization with straightforward payroll and HR processes. It is perhaps not appropriate if there are complicated processes, multiple payroll types, or specific customization needs.
