Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

UltiPro is being used across our organization to manage the majority of the employee life cycle aspects.
  • Innovative: always looking to improve on what they've built.
  • Ulti Staff: You can tell their team enjoys and values working for their company.
  • Flexibility: I came from the service bureau world. I love the flexibility I have for configuration and business processes. I don't have to rely on my HR software vendor to make all the changes I need.
  • Service: We are a seasoned company and often times we get reps that are too new and don't fully understand the product at the level we need them to.
  • Internal communication: We've had many occassions were it takes a long time to get resolution on an issue because the teams don't communicate efficiently.
  • Testing: We've found bugs in releases that Ulti hasn't found. They need to do a better job in vetting their releases internally before rolling out to their clients.
It's rare that we have any performance issues with the product. If there is an issue, Ulti is very diligent in their communication to their clients through Newswires and alerts on their support site.
Very rare that we experience an outage. If there is one, it's usually for a minimal amount of time.
I think UltiPro would be well suited to any industry. The real key is to make sure you have a clear picture of the issues you're trying to address and dig deep when asking how Ultimate would handle those particular issues that are important to you. I would like to see Ultimate offer more in the way of best practice consulting.

Using UltiPro

From employees to managers to HR & Payroll professionals. Everyone uses UltiPro in some form or fashion. Our RPO also uses the product for all of our recruitment & onboarding.
2 - Skillset required is analytical in nature. Some IS skills a plus but not necessary. Implementation background very helpful to support.

we've already renewed our contract. This software has suited us well and Ultimate truly believes in a 'partnership' with their clients.

Evaluating UltiPro and Competitors

  • ADP,Ceridian
The Ulti product is integrated which means it's not necessary to run jobs to move data from one module to another. I really like the flexibility of being able to make configuration changes, create expressions, etc., that service bureaus like ADP and Ceridian don't. The product is very user friendly.

Product usability. We wanted a product that could address some of our needs based on a complex workforce (union & non-union, multi-state) and also leave room for growth. It had to be simple to use and integrated.
I think we would have asked for more 'use-case' demonstrations instead of relying on a standard demo. We didn't have any issues with the selection process as we reviewed other vendors as well and did a full analysis of all 3.
