Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro
Ultipro is used across our entire organization. It serves as our payroll platform, HRIS data management system, and will soon serve as our talent acquisition and onboarding product. Many of our employees use this on a daily basis.
- One of the things Ultipro does well is building an intuitive product. Some systems require a 500 page manual to learn how to properly use, but with any Ultipro product I have felt that I can pick it up and use it proficiently in a few hours.
- Ultipro does reporting well. They have many useful reports that come standard, but also allow for the creation of ones to meet your specific needs.
- Ultipro sometimes has issues with large, dynamic organizations. Our system has over 100 hospitals and over 100,000 employees, which has created some challenges while using the core product.
- In the onboarding module, when an internal candidate is hired, you have to delete them from onboarding, and manually make the update in the core product. This seems redundant and should be addressed as a problem to fix. The feed from onboarding should be able to overwrite data for job changes. We want this system to provide more streamlining and not create extra work.
- Time savings
Ultipro has helped us streamline our processes and make paper files obsolete. Time has been saved for all parties involved.
Oracle is hard to use, understand, and operate. Switching to Ultipro has saved us time and headaches!

UltiPro Training
While Ultipro is a very user friendly software, it is essential to go through training. I would say anyone can pick up Ultipro on their own, or with purely internal training, but to fully grasp the capabilities it is necessary to utilize the Ultipro training resources. Through Ulti University they have documents, videos, and live webinar training on every aspect of Ultipro. This is a must do for any user who wants to excel.

Using UltiPro
Primarily, our users for UltiPro are HR and Accounting. HR uses UltiPro to hire, onboard, and store employee records. They track electronic performance management within the system, as well as perform other essential functions. Accounting uses UltiPro as the main payroll software. They are able to successfully distribute payroll to our 100,000+ employees. Additionally, the system is easy to use for everyday employees to track their pay, benefits, PTO, and personal information.
14 - In order to support UltiPro we look for people with systems knowledge on the technical side, as well as on the user side. Efficient use requires people skilled in Cognos BI report writing, SQL for pulling data from tables, as well as system administrators who know how to configure the platform for HR and Payroll. We also have people dedicated to managing integrations of UltiPro between our other software such as Kronos.
- This product is essential to our daily function as HR professionals. The ability for us to initiate workflow approvals allows for efficient use of resources and ease in making changes to employee records.
- Without UltiPro our payroll department could not effectively deliver pay to our 100,000+ business partners.
- We are able to use the data from UltiPro for tracking of high performers, key demographics, and flight risks. UltiPro puts our data into our hands.
- We have been able to use the data from UltiPro to provide a greater depth to executive leadership when making decisions. They are able to take the HR data and match that with various other information to get a robust picture of the health of our organization.
- We hope to utilize the whole suite of UltiPro performance management tools in the future to provide a clearer understanding of our employee engagement and retention. This will include the compensation module, as well as electronic reviews and goal planning.
- We plan on getting further understanding of our data through UItiPro delivered reports and dashboards.
- In the future it is our hope to increase access to our employees through use of the UltiPro app.

- Making changes to an employee record are incredibly easy, simply access their file, then make the changes you need to make!
- Completing a performance review is super easy in UltiPro, it is intuitive, and makes the whole process less daunting.
- Setting Goals is very easy within the Performance Management module.
- UltiPro can be kind of cumbersome for large, complex organizations. We have required a few customs, and each one is not cheap.
- Configuring new roles can be cumbersome as it requires a lot of clicking and scrolling, wish there was an easier way to do this.
