Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

[We’re] Using UltiPro to come off of an antiquated and unreliable system. Currently utilizing the Mid-Market version of UltiPro (for smaller companies) for the entire organization. Live on the following modules: HR, Benefits, Payroll functionality. Currently working on implementing the Time Management feature.

Other (above)=Reliability, legacy system was unreliable and minimally supported externally.

Time savings has been proven with Life Events, moving to more efficiency and 'going green' coming off paper/forms.

Data integrity as employees are managing personal entries in the system with workflow approvals.

  1. Effective dating is complex.
  2. End user facing is easy to understand and navigate.
  3. System struggles with complex payroll setup pertaining to Union rules and diverse pay rules.

UltiPro Training

Training on UltiPro is essential. If the core system user team is familiar with HRMS and has a HR system comfort level, self-service training within UltiPro is sufficient. Training end-users is possible with a solid foundation on the functionality of the system. UltiPro delivers diverse training opportunities (videos, job-aids, Q&A) which are sufficient for end-users and an escalation process for community feedback.

The online training is abundant--lots of functionality covered. Classes are offered (via web lessons), but availability in some cases is limited. I did find the documentation not to to be up-to-date in certain circumstances. In addition, the volume of results that is returned in a search could be immense to review in a time sensitive situation.

UltiPro Support

Internal support resources at UltiPro (in this review for mid-Market) are not well versed in organizations nuances. For companies using UltiPro who experience a process that is specific to that organization, the UltiPro support resources are challenged to provide the best solutions.

Using UltiPro

For an economical HR/Payroll, ESS/MSS
solution, UltiPro (mid-Market platform) is an unassuming solution. Unfortunately, the Time Management-UTM (mid-Market
version) is a poor solution from UltiPro for smaller organizations to
utilize. The UTM functionality is
clunky, ill built and subpar to other Time Management solutions.
