Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

It is our HCM, and we utilize the core product for payroll/hr, UTA for time and attendance, Recruiting, and onboarding modules, as well as limited use of payment services. it is used across the whole organization.
  • Escalations for critical issues.
  • Payroll system and support.
  • Custom support development, having a better understanding upfront of expectations and needs so implementation and testing are smoother.
  • better communication across Ulti teams (support, project/development, 3rd parties).
  • More cohesive products that work well together and have the same look/feel.
  • Consolidating HR administration under a single solution
I think having various systems that integrated better and required fewer customization would be optimal for our organization.
I couldn't add the ADP module I used - but it was a great product for a small organization.

ADP Reporting was an extremely easy and powerful report writer

Ceridian Time and Attendance was very similar to UTA - not anything to write home about.

SAP Success Factors has a similar feel to UltiPro, but I LOVED the proxy ability as an administrator. Made testing and troubleshooting so much easier.
For our size, we have a lot of issues with the performance overall. There have been a few times where the system has had an upgrade, and the new code is great for smaller organizations, but for us, it has the opposite effect and the entire page refuses to load quickly (Like pay statements).

We have a replicated database for our reporting tool, as it cannot work off the regular database and report back. we often have to engage with customs to get large or complicated reports to run.

Our UTA product is slow as well, due to the size of our database and we have had issues with it going down in the past due to that.
This is the best part of Ulti. our team is great, very responsive. Jay is amazing at escalations.
So many times! When we have had any major payroll issues or system issues, the support team is always quick to respond, pull the right people into the room and get it resolved in time for us to complete payroll and do what we need!
Day to day payroll support is phenomenal. We also have a great CRM, Jay S., who always has our back, understands our account, and helps escalate appropriately and quickly.

Many of the applications are bolt-ons and the cohesiveness of the overall product isn't there. Each system has a different look, different feel, different support team, etc.

Reporting is also another pain point. Unless you are a professional report writer, BI is very complicated to understand and build reports. Also, very time-consuming. A better dashboard reporting/data warehouse view would be nice. As well as a simple query tool for nontechnical individuals.
