Overall Satisfaction with Vidyard

Monitoring video engagement as opposed to traditional click-through approach is only offered by a small number of services. Vidyard integrates perfectly with Salesforce, Pardot and other marketing and email distribution services. Unlike hosting on sites such as YouTube where lots of audiences will have the service blocked, Vimeo reaches almost all recipients without issue.
  • Marketing email.
  • Audience engagement.
  • Reporting.
  • Video upload interface could be more intuitive. Though it does the job.
  • Integration links could be more prevalent.
  • Reporting panels could be easier to use.
  • Positive, reduced risk of video plagiarism.
  • Negative cost as opposed to a free service, but benefits outweigh this.
  • Good user engagement in marketing comms.
Implementation was relatively painless but was slightly less intuitive than first thought. This didn't dissuade us however and implementation was successful and all parties were happy with the outcome. Pricing structure was slightly unclear at the get-go (from what I remember), but this was cleared up in our second call.
As mentioned in a previous question customer support during initial integration was spot on and helped us begin implementation before the final decision on content hosting providers had been made. As a result it was almost a foregone conclusion that this would be the provider of choice as setup support was so helpful.
I'm unable to mention alternative products due to NDA. The only alternative that is widely known is YouTube. Vidyard is much more suited to professional users.
Good for marketing communications. Email integration and embedded video needs. Could be problematic for large audiences where a wider used more tube-centric service may be more appropriate but generally this is understood before implementation. Plus the Vidyard team are very helpful with client consultation and are not up for the hard sell.
