Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security

We have a pair of M590 Fireboxes set up in a forecaster as our primary internet firewall solution. We have also are licensed for the Total Security Suite and utilize site to site VPN's, webblockers, geoblocking, intrusion prevention, etc...

Pros

  • Easy firmware updates with Clustered appliances for no downtime
  • Easy to use and set firewall policies/rules
  • Virtual VPN interface to Azure
  • External logging

Cons

  • Renaming existing firewall rules and policies using the GUI vs the command utility
  • GUI can be slow at times
  • Dimension logging isn't great
  • Patching keeps firmware current
  • Total Security Suite keeps subscription services up to date
  • Technical Support has been great
We purchased it from a reseller/vendor and set it up ouselves
None noticed, only utilizing management from one place
No cloud products currently in use
