Overall Satisfaction with Webex Calling

Webex Calling is used throughout our organization for meetings and collaboration. Our university adopted it during the pandemic to continue remotely with lessons and seminars. In particular, Webex Calling has made it possible to solve problems related to the number of people who had to connect to the same meeting or lesson.
  • Webex Calling allows you to set up a call queue. This way, when calls are unanswered, callers are automatically answered. This becomes very useful for being able to communicate with many students remotely.
  • It allows you to create a paging group so that users included in the group (in our case, our students) can send an audio message to a specific person or the entire class group.
  • Webex Calling allows you to set specific times to receive calls. In this way, we can prevent our students (especially those who live in other time zones) from contacting the teachers of the class group at unwanted times.
  • The graphics can be significantly improved. Sometimes it isn't easy where to click to access a specific call.
  • Webex Calling (as well as other Cisco Webex software) crashes frequently. This makes communication difficult.
  • There is room for improvement for common chat features. It is sometimes difficult to manage internal communications when there are many callers.
  • Webex Calling has allowed us to improve the distance relationship with our students during the most challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic and afterwards without needing always to see each other in person.
  • It has allowed us to increase productivity by enabling us to speed up work activities with our students at the University.
  • Webex Calling allows us to improve overall productivity by enabling the migration of critical communications to the software's cloud.
Webex Calling integrates easily with other Cisco family software (especially Cisco Webex Meetings or Cisco Webex Teams). This favours the integration of features. On the one hand, this has allowed us to integrate the missing features of other Cisco software with those offered by Webex Calling. However, some overlap and favour software crashes during calls or meetings.
Webex Calling provides a secure environment for building collaborative and interactive spaces and meetings. The guaranteed interoperability with other Cisco software (despite some overlapping of functions that create problems) allows discrete management of meeting participants and management of internal communications. The cloud function guaranteed by the software also makes it possible to save all the information from the meetings without weighing down our computers.
Where necessary, in our University we use software such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams to communicate with our students remotely. However, the software mentioned does not have specific functions that Cisco Webex Calling has and can be integrated with other tools in the Cisco Webex family. This makes Webex Calling preferable to other software of the same type by many.

Webex Calling is an interesting software that allowed (and continues to allow) us to connect and interact directly with our students remotely. During the most challenging moments of the pandemic, it was fundamental. But even today, it allows us to follow students in other parts of the world or who need not physically come to the University. However, it occasionally crashes, making communications difficult.
