Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent®

We use Xactly Incent® to track OTE, comp, quota, variable comp and define compensation strategies. it has simplified and streamline our end-to-end incentive compensation programs both for sales and services organization. We use it in conjunction with Anaplan that sets the GRD, and targets by different lines of business. Have been using it for over 5 years at my current company

Pros

  • Really good at helping us plan our comp strategy
  • Track attainment against plan
  • Excellent reporting capabilites
  • Easy to use

Cons

  • Some features that are in Anaplan - Example, Assigning Territories and Regions
  • Easy Feed from Salesforce - when we measure booking Targets
  • Integration to Oracle
  • We can trust the data in Xactly Incent®
  • Well defined rules of input and output
  • Love the reporting
  • Easy to use
The big takeaway is the way we can monitor what is selling well, what products and services. We are able to put incentives when we are trying to promote a product or service. Calculations and reporting is a lot more robust than other platforms. It does not feel like a comp tool - which is good. We use the functionality to monitor sales incentives spend / exposure on simple reports. Able to share data and manage budgets accordingly.
We don't use it for that. We use Anaplan since that's the tool being used by Finance. We get the GRD from Salesforce that feeds to Oracle, Oracle has the Employee data, finance has the Quota - that feeds to Anaplan to assign quota that feeds to Xactly Incent® for sending out goals and reporting.
Getting finance data from Anaplan, Employee data from Oracle and Geo Region distict data from Salesforce to Anaplan to Xactly Incent®. Not a very clean way of doing business but that's what we do. Wish Xactly Incent® also handed financial data

Everstage is a good product however does not have the robust functionality of Xactly Incent®. But a lot cheaper -

solid product for what it is designed to do. Not designed as a finance tool but would be nice if I can load my GRD straight into Xactly Incent® or get feed from Salesforce. GRD - Geo Region District
