After confirming a candidate's information, they marked. The highlighted background checks' suspiciousness was decreased with a bit of additional information and intuition, and they turned out to be fine. Whether it be by email, phone, or chat, their customer care is really helpful. We use Gmail, which is linked to our GoodHire account, and we get answers quickly.
HireRight's background checking has some improvements and could hold some more historical data more than 150 days. We have had employees move from one jobsite to the other for this client and we can't look up if they have had a background check done through HireRight before if it is more than 150 days, so we end up ordering another one and duplicate/pay for extra background checks
The screening process on the US side took 4+ months to be implemented even though there was no specific request or difficulty on our side: we have a very basic need that Accurate Background is supposed to be implementing easily.
Twice in the past Accurate Background's reports have shown blank records ... for people with a criminal history.
I receive on a regular basis from Accurate services emails asking for more information. But sometimes this email is not for me but for the candidate. And you never know what complementary information is required. You just receive an email stating "we need more information". You have to chase them to know what they need.
I have recently received a message stating that a search is complete. When you open the record, you realize the search has been abandoned. There is a sentence at the end of it stating that you have received an email from their services.... when you have received nothing.
All the above shows that there is minimum interaction with real people from their services, that their automatic messages are not complete nor accurate, and that their search results just cannot be trusted.
Front line support is lacking. They take a long time to process requests, and we are often told that they are unable to assist us with items that, we know from personal experience, is within their power to do.
Collection Site Network is difficult to maintain if you plan to add any additional sites aside from HireRight's preferred partners. Sometimes, we value convenience over minimal cost savings, and the setup time for these sites is too long. Once added to the system, there is no way for us to distinguish between custom sites and the sites HireRight has preferred terms with.
Communication of service interruption. When issues arise outside of scheduled maintenance, we often hear about it from our users, not HireRight. When we follow up with support, we never receive ETAs for a solution, so we have no useful information to pass along to our hiring managers. It is very frustrating when the product is not working at 100% and we have no idea when we can expect it to be fixed.
I've worked with Barbara several different times during my time with HireRight. And she is absolutely the best. She helped me with the integration side of things which was delightful because that can be somewhat confusing. She always responded to my emails and my needs in a very good timely manner. Can't complain about the support at all.
Our previous vendor had slow turn around times, often we would see background checks taking weeks to return results to us. We would also note discrepancies in state compliance and have to point them out to be addressed by their system. Good Hire seems to be more compliant with state regulations and have had quicker processing times for our end users
