Dayforce Powerpay allows small businesses to pay and manage employees. It is used to simplify and automate payroll processes with automatic payroll calculations and remittances to the CRA and RQ, and streamlines payroll with connected time and attendance tracking to help ensure people are paid accurately.
I used ADP at a different employer and it was very slick! Arcoro HR is aimed more towards the construction industry and although ADP is trying to get into that area, the sales pitches from what I've seen are still not where they need to be. Arcoro HR was construction oriented …
Looked at our current software provider's timekeeping application, prior to purchasing ExakTime. Ease of use and time capture is what sold me on ExakTime.
This is the first product like this that we've used. We've been using ExakTime for several years now, and I can't imagine going back to manual entry! I also wouldn't think there's any comparable product on the market that allows as much customization or would be as user …
before the ExakTime mobile app everything was done via email or hard copy papers. This app was the first one that company attempted to implement and went off without a hitch. The app was so easy to use there was no need to search the market for another time tracking software.
Although Asana works well for offices that focus primarily on office management, it would not be a user-friendly tool for those who are on job sites and traveling to different locations on a daily basis.
They were my third choice because they would work with QB. Love the reminder to clock in and out that woould be usefull. Open the Time Clock window in the app.Select a job or task, Select Clock In, Select Clock Out when you’re done for the day. I did not like the layout.
NEOGOV and GOSKILLS offers relevant preloaded courses that are of interest to our employees. The reporting ability is also more user friendly and the appearance of both platforms is better.
I used a software called Kronos, but it was actually for clocking in a warehouse where everyone is stationary. ExakTime is better suited for my particular field because we have multiple locations. I have also used ADP, but I prefer ExakTime because it is bundled with all the …
Being able to remit payroll directly to CRA reduces the number of steps in payroll processing. It also means that there is no way for us to forget a remittance. This is important to us because it's all-in-one software. I did like that QB would have the entry directly there so …
Even though Quickbooks was cheaper, I would have to do more work, much more information added into the system and while I would pay less per pay run, there was a lot more work for me to do. I prefer to pay a little extra and spend my time making money instead of the headache of …
Wagepoint has made errors in the past. ADP has terrible customer service. QuickBooks Online is convenient however the Dayforce Powerpay pricing is better for larger payrolls. Payworks has no "run as is" option.
I selected Powerpay (Ceridian at it was then) for the ease of use. I like that I have the choice of phoning my payroll in or doing it online myself. I used Ceridian a long time ago when I worked part time for a law firm. The Powerpay system is easy to use, it is logical and you …
Having used both Ceridian Powerpay and DayforceHCM, I find that Ceridian Powerpay is the better solution for the average user. DayforceHCM provides a more fully-featured solution for an organization, but utilizing those features will depend on your organizational needs. …
From sales to implementation, the process was a little oversold. We didn't know the right questions to ask - had we known what to ask, it would have been easier to embrace from the beginning. Once the training begins, it's comfortable with the tools and team. Our Project Manager had changed throughout the implementation process, but we didn't miss a beat. Arcoro takes care of us, and I would recommend them as a Sage partner.
I like Dayforce's timesheet inputs. I like that there is both the rapid entry and the timesheet tabs. It's easy and quick, and it makes a lot of sense. I wish Dayforce would pay out RSP payments, rather than log them only. It would eliminate a step for us and make things faster. But it's only once per year, so not a huge issue.
Employee logs in and answers health-related questions before beginning work. They remotely provide their own timesheet information, adjustable by the administrator where needed.
Location at time of login is readily available. Distance from jobsite can be determined at any login.
Time for lunch is automatically deducted from work hours, logged by type of work interrupted, and easily adjustable by the employer if necessary.
Reports by employees of time spent on any type of work during the work day and work week are readily available. Work by job name is also available.
Ceridian Powerpay simplifies the payroll process, very little manual work involved during each payroll run.
Ceridian Powerpay is mostly an intuitive interface with easy to understand workflows to allow for multiple users to be able to use the system if required.
Since we started using the HUB, I have things listed as jobsites that are not jobsites on Exaktime, I'd like them removed such as DO NOT SYNC, JBLMANG, JENSEN, 1 HOME OFFICE, 2 DM OFFICE I guess they are called "locations" but every once in a while one of our guys will clock into one of them by mistake.
When submitting a ticket, quicker response time would be appreciated. Arbaz is quick to respond but the tickets are not responded to very quickly. I think Arcoro HR is a great product but response time is important! Especially when you have a lot of employees counting on a paycheck every Friday.
I don't have any major problems with Exaktime so I do not see a reason to switch to something else. All the bugs and learning curves have been worked out so move to another company will take too much time of which we do not have. I have become an Exaktime expert and don't trust another software that guarantees geofencing timekeeping.
Powerpay exceeds my expectations: it's easy to use and does not 'eat' my time by wondering what the end result will be. I can see what each employee's pay statement will look like before I submit the payroll for processing. Monthly processing fees are not exorbitant and the service from support it top notch, quick and awesome when you need it! What's not to like? It's a terrific company to have on your side!
It's easy for anyone tech savvy. It is kind of impossible to make anything even more user-friendly than it already is. The app itself has zero issues for all my staff. The admin side of things takes a bit more knowing and learning.
Dayforce Powerpay has a great interface that makes it easy to navigate, easy to remit payroll, and easy to report after the fact. It has made overseeing and executing our payroll easier for me as an administrator, and our staff find their portal easy to navigate as well. The only thing that I find less desirable is that you need to start a payroll in order to make any adjustments to employees' information.
I have never experienced application errors or unplanned outages. I do know that I could phone Dayforce Powerpay and give them hours and other deductions and they would do the payroll and I could either have them deliver the completed payroll by courier (there are small extra charges for this) or I could download the completed payroll on pay day. I have also been able to complete payroll our payroll at home instead of at the office. Dayforce is very accessible by phone or online.
Pages online load in seconds. Click and it's instantly there! I have never had pages not loading properly or taking time to load. Payroll reports also downloads quickly. We do not interface Dayforce Powerpay with anything else
I have had problems outside of normal business hours and I get a return phone call from them pretty quickly. There has only been I think 1 instance that I waited for too long to be able to fix my situation.
Regardless the issue, the Customer Support team is offering outstanding services! When I am calling, the wait time is reasonable, and the team members will ensure you receive the right support in a timely manner, with politeness and kindness. If you reach out the team that it's a guarantee that your issue will be solved!
I have used Powerpay before (at a previous employer) but a few years had elapsed. I had a quick online training session (less that 30 minutes) to recover basic knowledge and I was away. I still from time to time have to do something that i am not quite sure of and pick up the phone! Every one that works at Ceridian - now Dayforce - have been able to answer my question and tell me where to go in the program, click on what and do what I need to do. The support is out-of-this-world good!
Gave a notice to all employees to come to work 15 min early on the day planned to implement the program. I had Spanish and English signs on how to down load the program and log in I showed them ALL how to log in and out and explained that they are responsible for reporting accurate time. I had them all sign a policy that lunch breaks were mandatory for all employees at least 30 min per day. This ensures safety on the roofs. We had a few people who did not have passwords to the app store and we had a few problems with android phones but most of them were on their way quickly. Most not happy about the change but I hope they see the benefit of it now.
I initiated the implementation. I answered all the questions I was asked, prepared the documentation and sent it off and it was done! Quickly, efficiently and done well!
I used ADP at a different employer and it was very slick! Arcoro HR is aimed more towards the construction industry and although ADP is trying to get into that area, the sales pitches from what I've seen are still not where they need to be. Arcoro HR was construction oriented from the start, not somewhere else, then trying to move in that direction (like ADP)
Even though Quickbooks was cheaper, I would have to do more work, much more information added into the system and while I would pay less per pay run, there was a lot more work for me to do. I prefer to pay a little extra and spend my time making money instead of the headache of trying to submit everything. It may work well for those who use that program with everything else on a daily basis, but I don't and also did not want to learn a new system when I have something that works really well!
We have a small staff of less than 20 employees. We moved our payroll from a previous provided because of terrible and expensive service. Dayforce is much, much easier to use and costs about 30% less than the previous provider. Dayforce Powerpay also seem to have people that speaks clearly and are efficient in everything they do so that less time is wasted by phone calls that has you on hold for 3 hours!
The return on investment has been substantial for our company. Having a payroll system that calculates everything for you, processes important documents, and only takes minimal time and effort allows us to focus more time on running the business and generating revenue.
Instead of having a user spend half a day (or potentially a full day) processing payroll, it only takes a couple hours (obviously depending on how many employees need to be processed).
