Stride works well for those looking for just a communication tool. However, there are a lot of similar programs out there that offer more interesting features without being overwhelming. The simplicity works for and against Stride. Smaller groups would find Stride useful, especially if they are not concerned with the public rooms

Cons

Stride, from Atlassian (discontinued)

  • Dark theme would be nice
  • Better integrations to 1 on 1 chats, some software only works in group/room chat
  • Platform is going away in a few months, so letting it run longer would be nice.

Webex Meetings

  • Accessing via web application version or via browser is a bit problematic some time. It is bit problematic as some companies don't allows employees to installs application on office laptops.
  • Ability to provide good video and content share can be improved for low speed internet connections.
  • More customization options can be enabled for the user for his ease of access on the main User interface.

Cisco Webex Meetings is a platform that consistently performs well and outperforms some of the other solutions that we have used, such as Zoom. It is user friendly and helps our organization accomplish the goal of connecting with external contacts to conduct meetings and share information

Cisco Webex Meetings is a really easy-to-use solution. Cisco has a mentality linked to joining meetings: one button to push. There is always the same big green button that appears everywhere—on invitation emails, in the calendar, on videoconferencing devices, on the application in our phones and tablets. One button and the meeting is started. Anyone can start a meeting. The solution is therefore minimally demanding for IT teams, and even easy to set up and support for smaller environments where there simply isn't an IT team.

It has a wider coverage and comprehensive functionality that makes communication easier and faster and it is always available.I use Cisco Webex Meetings on a daily basis to meet with my colleagues virtually. It provides us with the ease and flexibility of connecting with each other no matter where we are, as long as we have some sort of Internet connection with us.

Regarding the performance of Cisco Webex Meetings, I can say that as long as the basic hardware and connectivity requirements are met, and based on the type of implementation you are carrying out, I can consider Cisco Webex Meetings as the market tool. with higher performance. Taking into account that in the option of implementing your own Cisco Webex Meetings server in your data center, you may experience some minor inconveniences that must be dealt with internally.

The response time is very fast via email. Most of the time, they also follow-up with a call but I usually need my questions answered via email.I think their support emails are bit bland and impersonal. They may think it's a good idea to list all applicable managers in their emails but that's not really all the important to me. In fact seeing so many people listed makes me wonder if I'd have to contact someone else to get my question answered or problem resolved.

That we needed complex implementation that we didn't get tells me 2 things: 1) the product was not designed in a way that "just worked" like some of its peers (Zoom / BlueJeans) and 2) had our company defined actual user needs and validated / verified that they had bought something that matched those, we would have pursued features / designs more closely aligned with what the product actually does: screen share, sometimes video, definitely VOIP audio (always an option regardless of license), and easy recording and retrieval of meetings.

Alternatives Considered

Stride falls short in almost every regard. While Stride is affordable, Slack and Ryver offer vital integrations that increase efficiency and are more enjoyable for employees to use. The features of Slack and Ryver that add personalization of chat (private vs. public) also add a layer of efficiency and flexibility that are hard to pass up for the simplicity and affordability of Stride.

Webex Meetings

Cisco Webex Meetings stacks up fairly well against the other products similar to Cisco Webex Meetings like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, RingCentral, GoToMeeting, etc. All of these tools function very similarly to one another, the main differentiator between all of the other products and Cisco Webex Meetings is that Cisco Webex Meetings does not offer a free solution where the other ones do. This can be a huge factor for some that are making the decision between choosing one of these tools as it can be fairly costly. The reason we selected to use Cisco Webex Meetings is that our meetings require a specific level of security, and we found that Webex offered one of the most secure platforms.

The service referenced in this review refers to the option in the cloud. Said Webex Meetings service is quickly and easily scalable both in number of users and in the characteristics and services associated with the contracted plan. A basic plan can be contracted according to the needs of each organization and if it were necessary to grow, for example in number of participants, it can be done by improving the plan.
