Likelihood to Recommend Buildertrend was made for a specific industry (building) and so I would recommend it to anyone in that industry, with the exception of Sales and Marketing. But for everything else from the financing to the permitting to the construction and all else, Buildertrend is exactly what our team has used and will ALWAYS use. Even with our decision to use other systems for Sales and Marketing, we have never given one thought to taking Buildertrend out of our process. We will always be with Buildertrend.
Read full review For content marketers, I would 100% recommend Monday.com. Applications like
Trello are OK for basic tasks, but I think Monday is superior when you're running campaigns alongside regular content plus ad-hoc tasks (or have more than one product to market). I can see it working well for different scenarios, like sales, customer service, and finance, but I can only speak for my industry.
Read full review Pros Manages in one place - crucial for organization. Professional, across the board it provides companies with a seamlessly organized and flawless presentation - to subs/vendors/owners/etc. Time Saver - you don't have to dig around through files/create templates/flip through your contact binder - it's all there. Practical tools- designed for contractors. You get what you need - period. Read full review I love that I can color-code sections/folders (I love color-coding!) I love that I can automate the majority of things on Monday I love the support I'm able to get when I don't know how to do something specific, I set up a call and get tips/tricks on how to accomplish what I'm wanting Read full review Cons I think that the CRM component could use some development. I think that tracking "tasks" or "to do's" could use some development. Read full review The billing model is awful for small businesses! monday.com makes you feel like they are doing you a favour. You literally pay for seats you don't use. The billing model should be a per seat model! There are too many addons from monday.com and 3rd party vendors that you have to pay for. The value of those addons is debatable are often rebuildable outside of monday.com in a single use spreadsheet (which pay monthly for an addon that you only need to use once in a while?) or organisations are already using something else in their tech stack for that addon. Read full review Likelihood to Renew Teams involved in content creation, such as marketing or editorial teams, could use monday.com to manage the entire content lifecycle. Boards might track content ideas, assignments, drafts, reviews, approvals, and publication schedules, helping teams collaborate and keep content production on track.
Read full review Usability Fantastic usablity. Buildertrend is an amazing tool that offers superior customer service and attention to detail that is unmatched. I will continue to use them for years and I know they will make growing my company a possibility. I highly recommend for companies that want to streamline their business.
Read full review monday.com enables quick creation of a basic project plan. In our office, we don't need a big, expensive Project Management System. We need a simpler, human-usable Work Management System. Most recently, monday.com added the four Predecessor Types to their Dependency feature. FS, SF, SS, FF are now part of monday.com's Dependency offering. This was my most-needed update, and monday.com provided it! I appreciate monday.com's rich library of Templates. However, my preference is to duplicate a useful project/board, then update it for my next project.
Read full review Reliability and Availability There have only been 2 instances in the past year where monday.com was down.
Read full review Performance Everything performs fairly well. Every now and then there are user errors where an employee will not click "ok" on a note they've created and simply exit out (I do wish that something was in place to prevent this, such as a pop "are you finished?")
Read full review Support Rating I highly recommend. The only suggestion I have would be to offer a free trial. They do offer a 30 day money back guarantee. The price point isn't daunting if you have had a 100 % no strings attached/no effort to cancel or try to remember to get your money back - no strings attached chance to try out the product. Especially for such a big purchase decision, I think Buildertrend would see an incredible increase in sales. They have the value and companies just need a chance to see it first hand.
Read full review Our CSM, Jonathan is AMAZING! He was only introduced to us a few months ago, and we've has fairly limited interactions so far, but he's an absolute legend! He seeks to understand our problems, workflows, etc. and carefully considers a positive outcome for us within the system's capabilities. He's a wealth of knowledge and we're really lucky to have him
Read full review Online Training To have someone walk you thru the features and capabilities of Monday.com is priceless. Someone also coming along later in the contract to see if you are maximizing the program to suit your company needs is beyond helpful. The staff that have provided this training are fun, creative and very patient.
Read full review Implementation Rating We signed up for the accounts. Created the accounts. Ran the trial version and tested it live while we were running multiple projects and found that it was fitting our needs perfectly. When the trial ended and we were asked to purchase the full version, we did. We have found other ways to use it and it's a breeze.

Read full review Alternatives Considered BuilderTrend allows me to see a full view of all my jobs in one place. I picked it for this reason. I wanted a solution that subcontractors would be able to use without having to do anything except open their email to get the information they needed to get the job done on time. I've made it so simple that everyone I work with wants to use BuilderTrend. In fact, most of the subcontractors I work with have implemented BuilderTrend because they saw how easy my day to day operations are.
Read full review We used an excel spreadsheet to track our month end close process previously which created a lot of issues around only one person being able to be in the checklist at any given time. Additionally, we were unable to have excel notify us when a task we need to have completed was done, but Monday.com has completely changed that for us!
Read full review Scalability For it to work across multiple departments and sites, I would like to see improvements made with integrations and automation. For this question, I am acknowledging not only the addition of internal triggers/automation, but also an expansion on external ones.
Read full review Return on Investment The prior year cost me roughly $4300, which was barely reasonable for my volume. Some clients liked the format, some hated it and didn't participate. In my experience, few subcontractors or suppliers embraced the program, severely limiting the effectiveness. For the coming year the fees would have exceeded $17,000, far too much for a program with limited client, employee, and subcontractor appeal with as small a volume as I have. Honestly, for the last year, I feel they've been a burning tire hung around my neck and I regret not cancelling them in early 2019, I'd have $10,000 more in my pocket and no significant negative impact. I did appreciate the daily log as a way to report on progress, but less than half my clients made use of this option. Read full review My favourite example? We used it to take a failed start-up, one where the prime investor was considering pulling out - to being a listed business (EURONEXT) within 18 months. That business now has a market cap at around $200m. Turnaround of a struggling health tech venture that was buried under endless spreadsheets by its investors - from loss-making to £2M EBITDA in two -years. Offshoring - Through the adoption of Monday as a key workstream management tool (moving off JIRA) we were able to reduce resource costs by over £2m per annum, without any change in efficiency or quality.
