Paylocity provides 24/7 access to your online payroll and human resource data management. Paylocity offers highly customizable payroll functionality, as well as HR, benefits administration, and time and talent management programs.
We have not used any services other than Checkr. We started using Checkr over a year ago and have had no need to try other services. Checkr provides us with the services we need in an easy, complete format. Background / Criminal history checking are our primary use of Checkr …
We selected Checkr because our HRIS integrated with it. It also offered better pricing. Checkr's reports are less detailed than InfoMart but we have confidence they meet any legal ramifications that may arise.
Paylocity has been a world of difference compared to ADP. We are saving money and have more features through the suite. We've received feedback from employees that their experience has been better as well - the system is more self-service and easier to navigate. The …

Paylocity is better inclusive and integrated product
Workday is a great system and very robust for large complex pay systems such as healthcare. Paylocity offers a wide array of services for small to large companies without the higher price tag. Companies that do not implement differentials are a perfect fit for this platform. …
Paylocity’s customer service won us over. we also enjoy the ease of use and capabilities within the mobile app for our employees. we also appreciate the regular updates and improvements based on developments.
Paylocity was the easiest from an employee perspective and also had the most intuitive workflows from the HR side. The ability to create our own reports was very important to us and the open API has meant it is easy to use and integrate with our other solutions as we grow.
Paylocity has been a significant improvement compared to using ADP. We can house our US and Canada employees all in one platform. The system is easy to navigate, and the reporting and data analytics is visually appealing. Overall no regrets moving to the new system.
We used a focus group and voted on the favorite option amongst the group. The group was comprised of leadership and staff across multiple departments and they drove a great deal of insight into how choosing a product was to occur.
Paylocity is much simpler and easier to teach and use than any of the other platforms that we have used or evaluated. This is especially helpful when dealing with an industry (pet care) where the majority of our managers/users are not tech-savvy. The reporting and UI is much …
We have been using Paylocity since 2018. At the time pricing and customer service was the main reason. The pricing is still very competitive, and even though I feel the Paylocity service has dropped off, it is still better than what I experienced years ago with ADP. Overall, …
As a user, Paylocity has been my favorite platform to use just because of how user friendly and straightforward it is. A lot of these systems can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate, so it is refreshing to log in and not be overwhelmed. Paylocity really is a one stop shop …
They did not offer much more than Paylocity was already giving us and implementation had negative reviews from other users. Very similar functionality for UKG, less functionality for Paycom.
Paylocity was far and above much better suited for our organization. The cost structure was much lower and the features were much better thought out. I have used the majority of the vendors we demoed and Paylocity in all honesty blew them out of the water. We are very happy …
I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to any talent team hiring at scale. We run large scale hiring campaigns for field teams where new sites ramp up, think 50 plus employees. In those case, chekr's ability to launch and track checks in bulk is a lifesaver.
Recordkeeping, filing reports, paying taxes, and having one location for everything is amazing. From recruiting to onboarding, we still need to make changes so we have less paperwork to manage, such as permission to run background checks and drug testing. We will work on this, but when you are busy, it is easy to put this off.
The ETA calculation to predict when screening will complete for each background check report is good
The SSO is a huge plus point and helps us to seamlessly login
the chrome extension comes in super handy to add and update information
the Background Screening tailored for various regions save a lot of time in formulating the same especially if your company is spread across multiple regions
It requires me to use either Chrome or Edge so I can use Paylocity. It doesn't support Firefox, which is the browser I was using prior to being forced to switch to Edge so I can use the software and sign my contract.
Time entries are not auto saved. This happened once or twice to me in the past year when I was submitting my time entries and a sudden power outage happened, I was halfway and basically, I needed to start from scratch since it does not have auto save.
Mobile app is still buggy. It happened to be 3 times that it didn't reliably let me clock in that I had to do it on my work computer - so I had to give it up and use the web version.
There are several technical issues we have experienced this past year with the employee onboarding process that we are still waiting to have resolved. Overall our experience with Paylocity has been positive, and we love how user-friendly and easy to navigate the system is. It has made all of our HR processes much more streamlined and efficient.
It has plenty of customization that you can do to help with sending information to those who need it rather than to just one person for all things. Allowing for more workflow customization for your organization's needs.
I gave Paylocity an 8 because it's easy to use once you learn it, and it saves a lot of time by keeping payroll, time tracking, and HR in one place. It has a lot of useful features, but some reports and settings can be confusing, and it takes time to learn everything. Overall, it works well and makes our job easier.
Over the last 3 years, we've only had one major service issue that rendered Airbase unusable for us for about 24 hours. That said, they navigated the SVB bank crisis very well and made sure funds were available during that time.
We had some minor hiccups throughout the year but they have all been fixable. Paylocity integrates well with our 401k provider, Principal, and our benefits, OneDigital. It makes it simple to house everything and have it all connected. It doesn't slow anything down to have Principal integrated. It makes it more efficient
It is very hard to get answers to your questions, you cannot speak to someone without days of requesting assistance or answers and then eventually can get a call back and then it is usually resolved fairly quickly. But NOT easy to get that help.
I didn't have in-person training, but I'm sure it was just as great as any other training/assistance Paylocity provides. Paylocity customer service is always available. You never have to be on hold and their answers are always accurate and timely. Documents in the help section are helpful as well. My in-person training was conducted y one of our employees who was involved in the initial set-up and training of all employees. She was excellent.
Our rep was very thorough and made sure we fully understood the software before turning us loose alone. Paylocity was very good to do periodic check ins to ensure we understood the features and answered any questions we had. The training reps are very well trained and are very patient with clients.
Implementation was a bit bumpy and Paylocity team not always available for next steps and/or questions. I feel like Paylocity could have done a better job in their fact finding as far as what we were currently doing, our payroll policies and needs, etc. so that we would have run into less issues as we moved forward.
We have not used any services other than Checkr. We started using Checkr over a year ago and have had no need to try other services. Checkr provides us with the services we need in an easy, complete format. Background / Criminal history checking are our primary use of Checkr and it provides these seamlessly.
Paylocity is SO far ahead of Paycor, it's not even funny. Just from the implementation standpoint alone, Paycor was an absolute nightmare. Paylocity had some struggles, but that goes along with any implementation. The experience with Paylocity was LIGHTYEARS ahead of our experience with Paycor, and the system itself is so, so much better.
We have gone from a medium sized company to a larger company with no issues whatsoever with Paylocity being able to keep up or do what we need it to do for the size of our needs. In fact, it does more than we even use at this juncture
Some are knowledgable others not as much and sometimes instead of helping you fix the issue will just give you some directions and expect you to try to figure it out yourself. Also, when your Account Manager needs to escliate the issue to another group, it can take a long time for them to get to your issue and there's no commuication.
The time savings alone is worth the cost. I went from having to spend 3 - 4 full business days on payroll to about 1.
Being able to look all employee data up in one place is a lifesaver and time saver - even outside of the office if I need to access information quickly it is all just a sign in away.
It has saved significant time and reduced confusion related to onboarding. Everyone is able to see what stage an employee is at, I do not need to worry about employees potentially working for us illegally thanks to eVerify, and I am always assured that all required documentation for regulatory purposes has been obtained prior to employment beginning.
