I've used Plantronics, Bose, and Sony noise-canceling headphones and they have all had superior noise cancellation for listening to music. However, every one of them - including the Plantronics - would amplify external sounds (e.g. Servers, children, traffic) to be louder than …
The other advantage of the product is that you could use it as a conference system as well as a screen for your PC. So I'm working with three screens and one of these screen is the Desk Pro, so I do not need another screen. So it's saving space in my desk and it's high quality. So this is the plus function.
When I am connecting with my clients, it's a fantastic product that helps a lot in building a connection over the call. Business meetings with various partners and clients have now become easier. If I work from Home or a remote location, only fair internet connectivity is required. The clarity in Voices and Mic is commendable. However, there are scenarios where businesses are static and do not need to connect with numerous international buyers and sellers; in such cases, there would be no requirement to use this product.
It gives the added function of having multiple lines we can set up called pickup groups or music on hold, so that way it best suits whatever facilities need to have. We can set that up and it works for them on different types of phones. We also have, since Covid, everyone has gone home to work from home and we have our knock who needs to reach out in case of anything. So they needed to have VPN capabilities. So our older models of the 7942s have VPN capabilities for them to be able to also work from home.
Cancel the noise side of things. You can't hear anything in the background. I quite often talk really loud because I can't hear myself talking and it's comfortable. They are really comfortable. We've got the wireless ones and they just sit so comfortably on your head. Amazing.
The device it self is incredible, but not allowing us to plug a computer devices such as mouse & keyboard direct in USB ports is a penalty. We'd like to bring up the laptop, open it, and start working.
Way easier to set up and manage. no fiddling with knobs, dials, and silly things like a physical receiver lifter that breaks easily. sound and call quality is great, no issues using day to day. only thing is that the price is a premium, but for us its worth it for the advantages that come with the ecosystem.
I have yet to find a use case where the 730 is not appropriate. The audio quality and active noise cancellation capabilities are excellent, and the portability puts it above many alternatives.
I would give it a 10 but the ringing on the base after you answer makes it unbearable at times. You have to unplug the USB or turn off the Bluetooth to get it to stop.
I have not had to use support yet as our use of Webex Desk Pro is so new, but all the questions that I have had have been answered with such promptness and clarity that it is clear Cisco has a passion about this device and about providing high quality in all that they do. Their support is top notch and you will never need to fear when reaching out to them.
Too expensive and too heavy and too uncomfortable. It just didn't deliver the experience that we thought we would get based on the price. I can get the same features, for cheaper, with a more comfortable headset from another vendor. So overall this one just never got put on the final list.
Organisation decided to went ahead with Cisco Webex Desk Pro becase of these following key differences: 1.- Microphone: Advanced noise-canceling microphone array vs Built-in microphone with Logitech MeetUp. 2.- Speakers: Superior Sound system vs Built-in speakerphone with Logitech MeetUp. 3.- Display: 27-inch 4K touchscreen vs. No touchscreen with Logitech MeetUp. Cisco TAC support is great.
The battery on the Jabra was bad. Once the battery gets low, and you get a warning that it is getting low you have seconds to plug it in. And I mean seconds. And once the battery has gone, and plug it in, not only does it take ages to recharge, it also takes ages to get volume coming back through the headphones. Often missing vital parts of a meeting.
Durability and quality so less spending on replacing the product.
Helped me understand speakers words clearly with no voice breaks thus making me more reliable and professional, directly increasing my productivity and impacting business in a positive light.
Uniformity. Our organisation first pilot tested Cisco Headsets and soon we changed our other vendor because of its quality. So, now it's all Cisco.
