We've found it to be the most comprehensive tool to keep up-to-date on individual company and sector-level funding activity. The data generally is also of high quality. It is likely not the best tool for real-time alerts if that is a requirement by the user.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator for Gmail

Super functional, best for Android users, since the interface is best suited to that style. You might have to do a manual match between your Sales Navigator and your CRM. I am sure they will make more integrations for real estate as time goes on since we are a large player in the business to client followup arena.

  • Crunchbase has an easy-to-navigate user interface. The bar at the top of the screen that shows the different data points available on companies is particularly helpful for quick navigating.
  • The ability to make and import lists and save searches is helpful for customizing the software to your particular needs.
  • The web and mobile app data that Crunchbase offers is very helpful to gauge trends and interest in companies for diligence purposes.

  • Integrates with other prospecting tools to create a well rounded with the information it can collect.
  • Integrates with SFDC- automatically uploads them as leads.

  • The technology page is a list of technologies the company uses to make their website not the actual company's tech stack. Would be better to either rename this or list their tech.
  • Add number of employees not just the ones that have a Crunchbase profile.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator for Gmail

  • Sometimes it tells me I need to log into my LinkedIn profile when I've already logged in. It's weird. It seems to be when the email address is not found. Instead of just saying the email is not found, it tells me I need to log in. Just something I've noticed.
  • Sometimes I get this weird thing where I go to compose an email and instead of having it open all the way to the right, it opens all the way to my left. I'm pretty sure Rapportive is what's causing it. It doesn't happen very often but sometimes I see that.

They give standard answers. They are not a customer first business. I tried to cancel my subscription after using it for only 1 week as we found the information was outdated and not at all useful. But they would not cancel the year long subscription I mistakenly signed up for

Crunchbase has a free version that provides the basic data that you should need in analyzing and reviewing companies. The list of private equity or venture backed firms in this database is so comprehensive and very up to date. The industry catergories are also updated with new trending industries that most databases do not cover.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator for Gmail

I used HubSpot and Rapportive at the same time. They are both helpful in contacting leads. The advantage of Rapportive is its add on and panel that automatically displays the information of your leads. You can also email and track a leads even if you don't open the full page of Sales Navigator

  • Crunchbase has been great and given us a lot of new companies to go after that have received funding and turned into great meetings. We do not pay a ton, so the ROI is great.
  • We have nothing but positive results using Crunchbase and rely on it heavily for prospecting.
  • It might add more value if we get a more expensive or advanced version.
