Diligent Boards vs. Progress MOVEit vs. Socialtext (discontinued)

I'm pretty sure I've given a description of this in one of my prior answers, but I would like to give a further note of my example that this is well suited for board pack production for our board meetings, specifically in relation to the PLC board meetings we hold regularly within the company function.

MOVEit is actively used on a dedicated server to supply clients with SFTP transactions. Automation is configured easily and safely. We rely on MOVEit to provide the transmission of daily, weekly, and monthly files across many companies and businesses. MOVEit is recommended by my group for any SFTP needs etc.

We use Social Text as a platform to air our issues with different departments. We voice our concerns and suggestions so we can help find a solution to the problems we incur on a daily basis. We need to have social text as an app so we can communicate in real time not only during work hours.

• Customer service is great. if any of the built resources are not sufficient to resolve a challenge, reaching out to Diligent, there is always someone ready to assist till a challenge is resolved

• Diligent is progressive, always creating ways to ease how we do work

• I believe there is room for improvement when it comes to setting up folder and group security.
• A better mobile app is absolutely needed. The current app lacks in features.

• Search needs a ton of improvements. It was very slow a year ago
• Search result quality was also not that good
• I know they have improved their UI recently but when i used it last year it did not really have any design elements which could be used to make the articles look more presentable. It was important for us as we used it for external communication as well.

We find the Boards portal to be an effective tool for our board meeting documents. It is user friendly and allows for amendments, additions as needed without compromising documents that have already been uploaded. Additionally, our Board members are comfortable with the platform and confident in their ability to navigate it.

We have a lot of info in Socialtext already. It would be hard to get all that info out and port it to a different system

Diligent Boards is a great app and working with different levels of management, everyone understands how to use the app on the first try. It's a simple setup and working with customer service for any questions is great. The turnaround on assistance is instant. Great job!

The turnaround time is great, and the customer support team usually resolves queries in one go. However, customer support can improve by suggesting additional helpful activities to improve user experience, rather than limiting it to the specific requests made. Overall, it has been a positive experience with the customer support team.

We have reviewed all credible products in the market as we prepare to exit our diligent relationship. Although some products were stronger than others, I would have chosen any one of them over Diligent. They are all lower cost and better.

We previously used Attunity MFT (Formerly Repliweb MFT); We were looking to move away from the platform becuase, while flexible, it was too flexible. The flexibility was gained by running scripts with each job to do what you want. So, not only did you have to define the job (Source and Destination), you had to have a fairly strong programming background. Tasks as simple as renaming files with a date stamp, required a script be written. MoveIt has many of these basic macros available for file name manipulations like various date pieces, times, file names, etc, and they're all well documented. Ex: [OrigName] = Original Filename (TestFile.pdf), [OnlyName] = Just the filename, no extension (TestFile), [OnlyExt] = Just the file extentions (.pdf). Pretty much every field within a job can use pre-defined Macros, which is a huge benefit. We also moved away from that platform because it had gone stale, it wasn't their "Core" product. The vendor supported it, but was not actively developing it or fixing bugs or anything. We went 2-3 years without even an update to the binary. MoveIt is one of Progress's "Core" products, so they are adding features / functionality and fixing bugs actively

I frankly like Confluence better than socialtext because of the speed and the quality of search. They also have better design elements which can help make the articles pleasant to the eyes.

the pricing is quite steep and if you under-utilise some products it becomes a loss to you as the user.
