Dropbox
DocSend works really great if you want to send out a doc to a prospect and want to track when they open it and what content they view. The reporting on this works really well and I've been happy with this functionality. Where it falls short is when you're trying to use it for a live demo utilizing the join.me integration. There are a lot of issues when you try to switch your screen and it only works 2/3s the time. I'd prefer an all-in-one solution instead of this Frankenstein model.

It is excellent for a cloud-based workspace between you and your customers. I find the chat feature to be a cool and underutilized tool. I appreciate how you can consolidate all your information on one page, rather than having multiple attachments. Easy to clone DSRs (Digital Sales Rooms), which saves a significant amount of time. Especially when all you have to do is make minor changes between customers.

WeTransfer
It is the most appropriate tool to quickly share documents with someone you don't want to give access to your company's own online library, yet you have to share files. It's great that there's no need to create a user, nor for uploading or downloading files. Just have in mind that the documents on the link have an expiration day!

  • Additional information if the download link(s) have been resent.

  • Email verification for third-party download via email.
  • Add-ons with other platforms and applications, such as Outlook and Gmail.
  • Seal of documents by electronic signature

Seismic
  • Seismic allows for one location to store all relevant content so that associates are not having to spend as much time searching for what they need.
  • Seismic provides the ability to fully customize content such that one template can serve many needs with the simple ability to answer questions that drive the customization in the content. This customization can range from simple to quite complex depending on your level of expertise with the tool.
  • Seismic provides a lot of flexibility when it comes to organizing your content and how to make the experience of accessing that content unique to the needs of each user in the system.

Cons
Dropbox
  • DocSend has a newer feature called Spaces, it lets you place multiple files into a single "deal room". Unfortunately for us, we need it to support nested file structures for larger content sets. Their support team says this is on the way.
  • I'd like to be able to change the icons for links add to Space, currently, they're a default icon.
  • Navigating the UI is just a bit laborious, it feels like it should be easier to get to link creation since that is what you're doing 90% of the time you go to the site.

  • Adding more integration points and use cases with Salesforce would be good to have
  • Navigating to a specific resource gets cumbersome sometimes especially with lots of content
  • Bulk user operations and taking actions on behalf of other users would be good to have as well

WeTransfer
  • With the free version, you are limited to 2GB of file transferring. Likely if you are sending lots of files, you'll be upgrading to Plus instead.
  • Download links expire after a certain amount of time. It's important to download each link immediately and not forget where you left the downloaded files.

Seismic is super easy to use and has so many different features and functionality to take advantage of. But being a company who utilizes Google platform a lot we have some issues with the api connections and integrations across the board. But all in all it is not a huge issue, I would just like to see them improve the integration more

WeTransfer is one of the most usable software. Incredibly smart and simple interface that I’m not sure has a comparable example that is as easy to use. The immediate ability to do what WeTransfer provides a solution for is a genius-level move from the creators. Well done, WeTransfer, well done.

Dropbox
DocSend is more convenient than DocuSign if you are already using Dropbox, otherwise a lot of these solutions come down to pricing and preference on user interface. For us, DocSend was great until our needs changed to needing a more sophisticated contract management tool. With further integrations and API accesses in the future, I think it will be easier to have all systems communicating and working together .

Both Highspot and Seismic are great tools. They each provide an extensive library that can be easily customized based on the rep/team/deal cycle stage etc. Seismic has a much cleaner look and feel. As a rep, I felt it was much easier to navigate the tool and organize my content the way I wanted to. Highspot tended to feel cluttered and even overwhelming at times. Along with that, the AI and saved search feature ran smoother in Seismic. I could easily find the document or sales deck I was looking for, whereas in Highspot I felt I had to look around longer than I would have liked.

While Dropbox does offer features that WeTransfer does not in terms of collaboration & organization, WeTransfer is the better option for simple file transfers. In my experience, WeTransfer is much faster for uploads & downloads. The premium version of WeTransfer also offers a lot of customization options that Dropbox does not.

Return on Investment
Dropbox
  • For about $100 you can optimize all
  • Of your pipelines that rely on decks or documents - worth it!
  • The time you’d spend having to send each link to individual clients without tracking is well worth the $100 on the product
  • We’ve been able to close our fundraising round and increase partnerships by utilizing DocSend - would recommend!

Seismic
  • We can quickly generate product-specific proposals.
  • We've experienced repeated frustrations while trying to edit/update the LiveDoc.
  • Errors in LiveDoc coding have occasionally produced errors in the generated proposals where certain fields (Customer Name, for example) should have been automatically completed but were not.

  • When we've had our BETA testing programs for our products, we always used WeTransfer to send our BETA version of our products. Doing this using WeTransfer was free and we also didn't have to worry about unauthorized people later down the road downloading these versions as WeTransfer deletes the files after a small number of days.
