Tallie is great for companies or outsourced accounting teams who are heavily involved with helping users upload receipts or code changes to the correct G/L Account groups or dimensions. Tallie allows for you to set up specific Expense options that are easier for users to chose what charges are for that are mapped to G/L Account groups in the background which allows for more accurate accounting. However, if your accounting books are using other dimensions like departments or projects the more complex the set up the more help a user might need, so it's nice how easy it is to drop into an account to help finish the more complex coding for users prior to them being submitted for approval.

It's great that it is very easy to add documents, such as receipts, in different document formats, including PDF and Word. I use the system throughout the month, and add the expense line into the claim when it happens, rather than doing it all at the same time at the end of the month - this helps me to keep track of expenses owed and miles driven throughout the month. It would be great if I were able to save regular locations when adding mileage.

  • Seamless integration with Bill.com. While this will not specifically benefit every user, our organization was able to quickly marry the two tools and provide timely reimbursements to employees.
  • Customer support -- they're available via so many mediums: user training, email, phone, support case reference numbers. If you need assistance, whether an end-user or administrator, you can get it.
  • In-app camera with intelligent image analysis to extrapolate the vendor name, date of the transaction, amount. It also offers the ability to import a photo from your mobile gallery, and then perform the analysis.

  • imports credit card transactions from our corporate card program without issue
  • allows for easy set up of new users
  • is a very intuitive, easy to learn tool
  • has a very responsive support and customer service team
  • Set up and configuration was thorough, and they were able to work through our unique issues, such as custom segments in NetSuite.
  • It is a very inexpensive product. Well worth the cost.

  • Search functions need much improvement; i.e. vendor search for transactions.
  • Impossible to import transactions for dates prior to card being added to system. There's no going back.
  • Needs better recognition of expense categories. Sees airlines and Chick-Fil-A as Dues and Subscriptions (?)

  • Would be nice if claims could be organised into certain chronological orders i.e. ordered by date so I don't have to copy and delete claims when adding a claim in that has an earlier date
  • Would be ideal to have an option to save full routes rather than just addresses maybe?

There doesn't seem to be anything in the market at the same price point that is better, however if there is an interrupter in the market that provides better value, then we would heavily assess the cost of change to see if we should move on to the alternative offering.

Certainly not as robust as bigger products/names on the market, but the features/solution it offers do extremely well, with a good mobile app experience and a nice, clean interface. It helped our organization (7 locations) go paperless, which rapidly improved our expense capture and timeliness in reporting and also gave our staff a better, user-friendly expense report and reimbursement process.

It is simple to use. Things are intuitive even for a first time user. UI can be improved to make it have a more modern feel. But the current UI is simple and elegant. Different sections for claims, reports and receipts make it easy to get things sorted and quickly access them when needed.

The soft ware is reliable. The phone app works well and allows you to upload evidence, receipts, log mileage and log expenses. It works well and is rarely locked or there are very few times the app is down. The laptop based software is easy to access and again is always available

The phone based app and the laptop based app always load quickly. It is easy to access. It is quick to use. It easy and quick to upload information and evidence. It is easy to log details. The information goes off to accounting and payroll quickly resulting in prompt payments for staff

As a user of Tallie, I have never needed any support to use it. It is simple, logical and needs no training to use. As a company, I don't think we need any ongoing support but I believe the setup process, which they guided us through a year ago went well.

The support for the initial setup was great, but since then we have only had to contact support once when we had problems uploading credit card files. The help we received at this time was not good and we ended up trying various things until we resolved the problem ourselves. The online support tutorials are good, but searching for a specific issue is difficult.

It was difficult to train multiple people via video, as they learned at different speeds, and most of the user champions were not as capable with systems and finance processes as our dept.

Tallie stacks up well to Concur. In terms of ease of use, Tallie wins by a landslide. However, when it comes to deeper functionality and integrations into other systems within the business, Concur definitely wins there. So, Tallie is easier for more simple purposes, while Tallie works for more complex organizations.

I would have to say that Webexpenses does not stack up well in comparison to Expensify. If given a choice, I would choose Expensify for the best user experience and mobile / desktop being more seamless. It accomplishes the same thing but has a more modern, minimal, and streamlined feel to it.

Every department in my organization uses webexpenses. My role and the role of others involves travel, expenses and mileage. Everyone uses the app to log details, upload receipts and to claim allowable expenses. having spoken to everyone within my team and wider directorate, i do not know of anyone who has had issues with the app

  • Tallie allows my finance team to spend so much less time on expense reports. After a large event, we would have 20 employees submitting reimbursements taking many hours of their time. This has cut out that time.
  • Tallie allows me to spend a total of fifteen minutes updating records in a report for reimbursement compared to the two hours I used to spend on our archaic system.
  • Tallie allows direct deposit into your account 2-3 days after your report is approved compared to the weeks it used to take to receive reimbursement.

  • Lot of time is being saved in maintaining records and now going completely online.
  • Love the option of Scan receipts with Google-vision-powered optical character. This also resulted in less use of paper in our office.
