Technology Consultant in Information Technology at Continental (Education Management, 1-10 employees)
Chose GoToMyPC
I have used LogMeIn and TeamViewer, but GoToMyPc is easier to use, for me as the support person and for the end users on the remote computers. For remote tech support and for training sessions on software applications I would say it has all the functionality and performance …

1) Though feature wise PCAnyhere has no comparison but some of its features are not required or not used frequently, hence user is paying for most of things it don't require but GoToMyPC has only the relevant features which is available at less cost obviously.

I like Rescue's approach more than GoToMyPC. I like the toolbar along the top of the remote session.

Chose LogMeIn Rescue
Customer Service was our number one deciding factor. LogMeIn support teams are top-notch. We never had issues getting product updates, technical support, additional license purchases, and any product-related queries. The ability to run macro & micro level reporting is another …

Chose LogMeIn Rescue
The only thing that comes close to the robust and feature rich options of LMI Rescue is Team Viewer. We have used TightVNC, gotomyPC, PC-anywhere, and have found all of the product seriously lacking in nearly every area that LMI Rescue shines. For our business the cost …
I think GoToMyPC is well-suited for any scenario I have encountered, although I only have experience using it in a small firm setting. Otherwise, for working from home and traveling or file retrieval, it has proved more than adequate. I have not encountered a scenario that I thought was less than appropriate.

LogMeIn is extremely appopriate when you have to perform something remotely or mutltask and perform work from your location. It gives you the ability to almost be at the site and perform work. While LogMeIn is an excellent toolkit. It can not always save the day. Sometimes it is more efficient to be on site to perform hardware upgrades, multiple software upgrades, technology refresehes and or have someone send you their hardware for rescue and repair as it is too messed up to fix and or perform the tasks remotely. However if you win 60 percent of the time - it's still a great benefit

By default it would be good to have clipboard sync enabled - disabled instead. So difficult when copying from my computer doesn’t work because of an agent sharing the connection and it will not let us copy information into the client’s computer.
Copying into excel is difficult. It will deselect things that you have highlighted when copying.
Would be nice to make the hierarchy easier when sharing files between clients and us.
Logging into certain environments can be challenging and require customers to be fairly techy to be able to understand how to get logged into client’s computers.
Sometimes login is pretty unstable on certain internet connections even though they are fine when they use team viewer with their IT.

I have been using GotomyPC for 20 years and it's gotten better with time. It's the best remote app that I've tried. The others were harder to use and not as functional. It allows us to work from anywhere just as if we were in the office. Even being able to print to my remote location is a wonderful way of doing work. I don't have to drag it to my remote device, It will just print without any hassle

Since we have not had anything other than a couple minor hiccups with LogMeIn Rescue and due to the overwhelming success we have had in implementing as well as utilizing LogMeIn Rescue, I cannot see any reason why would consider looking elsewhere. Overall, we have been highly satisfied with LogMeIn Rescue and have no intentions of making a switch.

Really easy to use-even if you forget your password frequently like me. The reset password feature is not cumbersome and does not require phoning Customer Service. Just a few clicks and a bit of creativity to come up with a new password. I like this "easy button" approach. Definitely recommend.

Sometimes connecting with a PIN has a delay that confuses users. If there is a way to minimize the delay, that would be ideal. If the user's individual account does have administrator permissions, the user has to click on elevated prompts even if administrator credentials are on hand. Yes, except if the user's individual account does not have administrator permissions. I have never gotten the option to input the admin credentials and start as system server to work across hundreds of sessions. I absolutely dread using LogMeIn Rescue during this type of scenario and may even need to use an alternative temporarily. Frequently clashes with users' security software. Otherwise, I love the application.

I have never had to contact support. The product is so easy to use I have not needed help (yet). But if I had to contact them, I am sure they would be just as great to work with as the product itself is.

We have never had to access support because the software has always worked as expected. It is great to have a software vendor from whom we know we will have no issue with glitches or incompatibility. We do know, however, that if we did have an issue, we would have our issue resolved quickly.

It set up quickly and assigning log ins to various computers was simple. I don't think you need many insights into the product. It's easy to implement and easy to use. Since it's a work tool, it needs be that way. I wouldn't want the tool to have any learning curve when some of the people using it are not tech savvy. They are accessing their work computers for files or to work on apps that their remote devices might not have loaded.

I recently started having problems with Splashtop - slow response/freezes/drops, and after troubleshooting everything internet and hardware related, decided to check out GoToMyPC as one step in troubleshooting. GoToMyPC has better response time and has been more reliable. So far I am pleased with the switch with just a couple of minor matters mentioned earlier in review.

I haven’t reviewed other platforms like LogMeIn Rescue because I am not aware of any alternative tools available to us for assisting clients and performing troubleshooting. Additionally, LogMeIn Rescue is the first tool I have used that allows me to view a client’s screen, which is why I am unable to compare it with others.

I can use it on all of my devices - even my Galaxy phone. Once you log into your device, you work on it as if you were physically in front of it. Not much complexity in that. If you can work on your own device, you can work on it through another device - even a phone.

For businesses with small to midsize IT staff, the ability to remotely control devices that are not on-site and occasionally out of state is extremely cost-effective.
The speedy response time of LogMeIn Rescue has been very helpful in resolving issues for IT staff.
The administrative process has been made more efficient by the ability to remotely log into servers.
