Grasshopper is well suited for basic needs of texting in and out as well as calling out if you would like to avoid using your personal line. It also eliminates the need to have a dedicated land land in your office or business. You can obtain a vanity number and forward calls through grasshopper.

MicroSip integrates calls through my laptop, which is especially convenient and allows for continuity of my work so I can answer or make calls while updating notes or checking emails. It is particularly accurate with caller ID, call log and VM and DND features. Overall I enjoy using it and believe it is a beneficial tool to use as opposed to conventional calling.

Zoom Workplace is ideal for any business looking for a communication/collaboration solution. This is more so for businesses with a hybrid workforce. It would be nice to have the ability to transfer some calls to another Grasshopper IVR, for those customers who mistakenly dial the wrong number (we have two incoming numbers, one for corporate and one for sales).
Likewise, it would be nice to have the ability to forward to a toll-free number, which would have allowed us to work around the inability to transfer between IVRs (see above).
Lastly, it would be great to have an 'emergency' switch setting (default off but could be toggled on) that would let us override all IVR settings and transfer all incoming calls elsewhere (either to a direct dial or toll free number) for those rare times when we cannot take any calls (such as a weather emergency OR the one time each year we take all of our staff on a retreat) - that would allow us to send all calls to a backup answering service rather than just voicemail.

The first time I ported a number and set up a outlying office, I had to keep going back in and correcting things. I feel like there could be more straightforward instructions on this, instead of having to go to multiple sections just to accomplish everything.

Almost perfect. Transformed from just being on my mobile phone. The phone has moved from a ituility to a value driving service in the business. Nobody yet has an AI to help manage the system. Come on Zoom, seems an obvious AI use case.

Zoom Phone has a very sleek design which makes it very easy to operate and use both in the setting up of and interacting in a meeting space. That being said, certain features can seem a bit crowded while trying to screen share or display video which somewhat defeats the purpose of the application as compared to a standard conference call.

When I was setting up my account I contacted support a couple of times. They were also very professional, personable, and helpful. Their response is prompt and thorough. I'm confident I can get any question answered as well as help with any issue I might have. That's pretty important to me.

I haven't had any sort of issues with Zoom as of yet to have to call Support. That right there makes me think it's a good product. Simple and easy to use. Nothing confusing or glitchy that would make me have to get in touch with them. Straightforward so I'm not trying to figure out a specific workflow.

I have not used any other phone services like Grasshopper. I know that there is another option out there called Ruby, which is more like a virtual receptionist but since I did not try it out I cannot compare the two. When I started my company I found the services that Grasshopper offers to be perfect. It still works for us and we have no need to change to anything else right now.

MicroSip is quite honestly the first call app that I have used which is integrated with a laptop but in terms of call quality and other features as mentioned such as VM, DND, call alerts, call log and caller ID these are all top notch. I would recommend MicroSip for any organization looking to save time.

The main reason why we switched to Zoom Phone is because our VOIP system inexplicably went down for almost a month and no one could figure out what was wrong. Lumen was charging way more than Zoom Workplace, but could not get the system to work.
