The best CRM out there. Easy to use, very intuitive. Perfect for someone that doesn't know anything about coding. I love that everything is drag and drop. I can't think of a scenario where HubSpot wouldn't be a good option for any company (capability-wise). When it comes to cost, it can be extremely expensive for small/medium companies. The free/cheaper options are too limited for the small companies, so there aren't a lot of reasons to choose HubSpot when what they'll be receiving is basically nothing.

I would definitely recommend Semrush as I would find it difficult to do my job without it!It's very well-suited to content creation and optimisation, providing the keyword insights required to make sure that your content answers the right questions. The Semrush writing assistant also supports newcomers to the industry by instilling copywriting best practice into its recommendations - such as flagging 'hard to read' sentences and calculating a difficulty rating.

  • The free version surprisingly includes a lot of features.
  • It can grow with you as your company / client base grows.
  • Has increasingly improved its available integrations with other software.
  • Surprisingly a lot of great features that integrate with Gmail (what our company uses). Other CRM software are more geared towards Outlook.

Semrush

  • Semrush is the cream of the crop in terms of comprehensive search engine data. It is excellent for keyword research and understanding how many people search for a term, how difficult it is to rank for the keyword, how much it would cost to run ads for, and also see what websites currently rank for that word. Semrush provides suggestions for related keywords all from one seed keyword, which makes it an efficient process.
  • Semrush is great for identifying technical SEO issues on our clients' websites. It has its own crawler which checks all pages for areas to improve or fix errors and issues to follow best practices in SEO. It helps uncover these issues that otherwise would take forever to find by skimming the site manually.
  • Semrush helps us analyze competitor websites, with data on keywords, pages, traffic metrics and trends, and even will show some of their ads.

  • I wish that contact details could be edited from the main contact page (in more of a spreadsheet style), rather than having to individually click into each contact or preview a contact to change data
  • A/B testing for emails or steps within sequences would be helpful
  • Currently, the details of each step in a sequence can only be viewed if you click "edit", but if would be nice to be able to read the emails that are contained within a sequence without having to go into edit mode.

  • It would be nice to be able to track a specific URL and have that saved so I can go back and look at specific pages I want to follow, not just highest traffic or top keywords without haveing to go to the next level. Post tracking is limited to 3 at the first level.
  • Pricing is on tiers, so some features just are out of reach for a small company.
  • It has a bit of a learning curve so if you aren't ready to learn it, you might not use it.

Because it's integrated with HubSpot marketing platform, which is indispensable, and works simply and seamlessly with the marketing platform. The CRM is intuitive, never a time burden, and makes doing business development work a whole lot easier and enjoyable. I think at this point it's safe and fair to say we would be somewhat lost without the CRM.

SEMRush has a slight learning curve, but everything is organized really well. Once you learn where everything is, using the software and running reports is incredibly easy. You can easily add new projects, get help for improving on-page SEO, and there are even video tutorials that walk you through the whole system if you still feel uncomfortable with it.

HubSpot CRM is much more user-friendly and intuitive than Salesforce. The reporting feature is prominently featured vs. having to go to a separate tab. The email integration with Gmail is much easier to be set up by the user vs relying on someone else internally to arrange. Metric tracking for sales management is also readily available and visible to the sales reps on a daily basis.

[Semrush] is a better overall tool for SEO management. It has so many different tools that you can use. Moz doesn't offer everything, but has its own benefits, which are more focused around serps and keywords. Ahrefs is particularly good when working with backlinks. Much stronger than [Semrush]. I would say the other tools are great for advanced SEOs, and [Semrush] is great for anyone in marketing.

  • Success with Initial Contact has gone up without question. We immediately get in touch with virtually every client we follow up with.
  • Average Meetings Booked has greatly increased thanks to the Meetings tool. I'm able to book meetings literally in my sleep.
  • Decreased Sales data entries have gone down significantly. Thanks to HubSpot, we simply spend way less time manually inputting things and more time selling.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Online Reviews are certainly way up. Nearly half of our online reviews are all from the last 18 months and I think HubSpot had a role in that positive customer response.

  • ROI for us is proven pretty quickly with SEMrush internally, as when we use it for our clients it supports the agency services that we offer and perform.
  • For our organization, internally, it allows us to better market ourselves, which leads to net new leads and clients.
  • The spend for this tool is minimal compared to the insights it helps us gain, so it's a no-brainer. It's been one of the software we've kept a subscription to for the longest time, and we have no plan on discontinuing it at any point.
