We use both in the organization, with JAMS more focused on internal file transfers and Axway MFT used for combination of both internal/external. Key difference I noted is the alerting feature is better in JAMS compared to Axway MFT, however Axway SaaS (cloud platform) allows for …
JAMS is the legacy product in our
on-premises environment. Accenture has recently implemented MyWizard, the preferred platform for future operations, which is expected to progressively
replace JAMS as part of our broader cloud migration strategy. Given this
JAMS overall costs are significantly lower, and support is better overall. If you have a halfway decent technical team, any small to medium business will benefit from JAMS over the rest of the schedulers out there.
The UI is so much cleaner than every competitor we've sampled.
We chose JAMS because it was the best solution for our business needs, a major factor being the licensing model and the simplicity of the app. We needed to migrate things fast too and this was simply plug and play without too much headache
We migrated to JAMS from a previous application that was sunsetted. We were aware that JAMS was more than a like for like replacement for the incumbent application, and in fact was more powerful and flexible. We did consider other solutions, some of which appeared to be more …
Our developers found it easier to get going with JAMS and there seemed to be better calendar and scheduling options available in JAMS. JAMS also supported legacy OS versions that were unsupported and did not work in Automic. This was a vital requirement in selecting a solution …
JAMS is WAY more advanced, it isn't a fair comparison. The history is easy to get through. It is easy to get alerts of complete to failed and with a log. Adding jobs is extremely easy that even my teammates who do not manange the software are able to set them up. With the …
Tidal is a very good scheduler but very expensive and customers can't budget for this. REvScheduler is a lot cheaper but the interface isn't very aesthetics and functionality is lacking compared to JAMS. Out of all of them I'd recommend JAMS.
In my opinion, while JAMS is useful for point and click like developers, Astro is more useful for software developers, whole like to see "scheduling as code". in the long run, I think Astro might overtake JAMS in terms of usage and use cases that it satisfies across the tech …
JAMS was much more cost-effective and easier to use. JAMS allowed us to centralize our job scheduling more fully. Converting from our previous, very limited scheduler to JAMS would be far more accessible than Automox.
N/A. I don't have any experience with different Job Management Software. Since JAMS is capable of doing most of our daily operations, we didn't look for other software. I can say that JAMS perfectly fits with us and with our clients. I've only heard about Direct M, which, based …
Laserfiche and Skyward are two very different systems and resources, however, they are not complex and have a very basic design, format and layout. They both are easy to use, efficient and help with organization while not being overwhelming after learning the systems. The …
Primarily, the ease of the user comes for our colleagues as not losing time is our priority. Besides, comfortable administration is also striking to benefit from using Laserfiche. The form creation of Laserfiche in contrast to DocuWare is doing great that provides amazing …
Laserfiche is a much more focused product that simply and accurately fills our need for routine reporting and record keeping. By taking time to work on the design of the form you can anticipate the user's needs and possible areas where further explanation may be required. By …
I have not used any other product other than Laserfiche. As a user, am completely happy with the product and will keep on using the same. I am a happy customer, their product has been very very useful for my organization. I would like to give Kudos to Laserfiche Team. Keep …
The Laserfiche interface is very easy to use. It is very similar to uploading files on your Windows computer. With close to no training and less implementation time, it was a clear choice. Like other systems, Laserfiche does not have fancy designs or interface. This makes it …
I would pick Laserfiche over Procore in a heart beat. Procore claims to be documents storage and user friendly but they are complete opposite software.
Records Management Technician, Public Works and Utilities
Chose Laserfiche
Alaris is efficient for scanning and editing, but does not provide all of the advanced capabilities that Laserfiche offers. Laserfiche also provides top-notch training to users. Alaris is a more simple software that can be easily self-taught. Laserfiche has more than just …
The price compared with others was the best. It was user-friendly and had full functionality, even exceeded when comparing with other functions from similar applications.
The core infrastructure of Laserfiche, and the end user experience, is vastly superior. OnBase has a TERRIBLE UI and administration console by comparison. The core architecture of OnBase is also more scattered, while all Laserfiche processes go through a single service. …
Document capture from multiple sources (scanning, web form, email, shared folder, etc.) is easier to manage and set up in Laserfiche. Integrating with third party software for document retrieval is easier in Laserfiche. Online form creation is possible with Laserfiche. The …
Laserfiche is much simpler to implement and use. Its interface much more friendly, allowing our implementation time was much shorter. Hyland OnBase is much more complex and requires a much greater investment in the cost of licenses and hardware requirements.
Laserfiche was already being used when I started using it many years ago, there are no benefits that the competition has that would make switching a benefit. I have used dropbox and sharefile in several situations, neither has capabilities that outweigh laserfiche.
I did not compare Laserfiche against other products because the City of Roanoke, Virginia had already purchased Laserfiche 6 years prior. Once I learned how to use Laserfiche and the benefits, I decided that we needed to upgrade to Laserfiche RIO to be able to use some of the …
Laserfiche is the leader in the ECM industry, and I believe will stand toe to toe with any competitor on the market. Not only is it on of the most advanced systems for an enterprise wide solution, but the cost is also very competitive. I also do not believe there is any …
Laserfiche solved our original government document retention concerns. Collin County has integrated Laserfiche retention rules with our Criminal Integrated Justice System for closed cases. We have also integrated Laserfiche with our Property Tax System. We are able to process …
Laserfiche is much faster and the optical character recognition is more accurate than Adobe Acrobat Capture. It took approximately 4 times as long to scan and store a document in Acrobat Capture as in Laserfiche. Reviewing every scan was essential in Adobe Acrobat Capture …
It's currently one of the best of the lower entry cost options out there, as it currently is a set license cost, not based on the number of jobs executed. In the hands of a good script writer and users with workflow experience, it's a powerful tool to accomplish just about any process that you have a need to complete.
Laserfiche is perfect for businesses that need a place to appropriately store their documents digitally and want an environment to grow from. Adding Laserfiche Forms helps grow a business' ability to process their work and reach their customers easier. Laserfiche could be used for all sizes of businesses but may not be as worth it for very small businesses.
The Activity Monitor clearly shows the Running Jobs, and Jobs that are to run soon. Successful Jobs can be viewed as well. The Refresh of this monitor is completely customizable to your liking.
Job Definitions are very well organized by use of Folders. This simplifies the structure of how to best Implement JAMS Jobs, including the ability to provide specific properties on each folder - whereby Jobs will inherit these properties.
Connectivity to servers is well thought out by having Shortcuts to include Credentials and Connection Store for server information.
JAMS Jobs can be controlled via System Resources. This is very powerful and is a very useful configuration found in JAMS.
It's very good at giving a wide range of options for importing and exporting data, the Windows Client software alone can pull files from a windows folder, has a software printer to print documents into Laserfiche instead of to paper, has Office integration, the ability to pull photos from cameras, and has a scanner component.
Laserfiche Workflow is an automation tool that is very flexible and powerful, and allows a wide range of options for automating document flows and procedures.
Laserfiche is very good at communicating with other systems, though some systems, like big iron minicomputers, take some extra work and effort. Setting up integrations with SQL server databases are as simple as any complex IT procedure can get.
We have built JAMS into our scheduling process. Its a great scheduling tool. I'm not 100% on the execution side as we have had issues with what i'll refer to as compatibility issues with ssis variables, but it executes sql agent jobs perfectly, so when i have an issue i create a sql agent job and have JAMS execute the sql agent job on the schedule from JAMS
We plan on renewing Laserfiche for the coming year but also have been considering a scanning and document management solution that can be purchased from our new accounting system company, we are implementing the accounting system this year. It will be a couple years before we make a decision to stay with Laserfiche or change.
9/10 as there are so many features I have not tried as of yet. It is easy to get started but as jobs become more complex you tend to employ more and more features - Some of which can be complicated at first. This all comes down to experience using the system. Out first setup and current setup are vastly different as we learn how to use the full power.
It has an intuitive design that feels very natural to any user that has ever used Outlook or Windows Explorer. There are multiple ways to perform every action in order to help users with various software experiences find the shortcuts and actions they seek quickly and effectively.
We didnt really encounter any downtime, no issues encountered during 2 years of use of JAMs also our client barely raise an issue with JAMS, mostly the issues is on the batch jobs that jams executes. So I would gave it a perfect 10, very reliable hardly encounters any error and bug
I am very satisfied with Laserfiche. I have found that certain larger jobs may are slow. This may also be related to our infrastructure environment. We have been able to tune Laserfiche to increase performance on larger jobs.
JAMS performance is very great, there are no issues raised with the performance, it just like nothing happens on the job after integration it gives you this monitoring capability, no reports and bugs raised on the performance, we didnt do integration with other software only database and with use of JAMS agent to different servers
Performance, of course, is largely dependent on the underlying environment. Laserfiche does its part with multi-threading, taking advantage of multi-core servers on scanning, workflows, and bots. A SQL-Server back-end is suitable for small to medium-sized company, but may not scale to large, where Oracle would be the better choice. Workflows can be poorly written and perform recursive work slowing down the system. It's better to run batch type workflows at night when possible.
I am giving support an 11, the turn around time is insane. At times I get a reply in minutes. The directions to fix are precise and easy to follow. They are personable and friendly and never treat me less than they would a fortune 500 company (which I am not one of).
I have never had to wait for help from Laserfiche. If I cannot find the answer online, I can easily send an email to a customer support representative. I have always been helped the same day and my questions have always been resolved. The Empower conference is always a great learning opportunity and the online resources and webinars are top-notch.
People that were involved in the POC found the training a lot easier to follow. I think most people would have preferred to just get the training material and run through themselves.
Easily accessible 24/7 so am able to complete courseware whenever time allows: Commute to work; waiting for friends or family; at night while relaxing [with a delicious glass of wine!]; whenever and wherever time and circumstances permit. Courseware is well written and presented in an easy to follow and understand format.
I Was not part of the original Implementation, and the persons did that are no longer with the Organization. But I was part of the recent Upgrade process a year ago and I am the JAMS admin and was very pleased
JAMS is the legacy product in our on-premises environment. Accenture has recently implemented MyWizard, the preferred platform for future operations, which is expected to progressively replace JAMS as part of our broader cloud migration strategy. Given this direction, it is currently unclear whether JAMS will remain a viable long-term option, and ongoing development is primarily focused on MyWizard.
Laserfiche is a much more focused product that simply and accurately fills our need for routine reporting and record keeping. By taking time to work on the design of the form you can anticipate the user's needs and possible areas where further explanation may be required. By prefilling the most likely/desired report responses you can greatly reduce the amount of time a user spends completing each report.
The product is quite flexible. There are a number of features and functions that we use on a daily basis, and there are many features that are available that we have not yet needed or explored (like setting up jobs with the ability to do FTP or Sftp file transfers).
SOX auditing has been part automated saving days of work for the people involved.
The ability for jobs to react to different failure values has enabled us to do away with overnight human monitoring ultimately contributing to saving us in the 6 figures.
The centralized repository of digitized documents allows users from different departments to collaborate and use the same documents, effortlessly and seamlessly. This has been a tremendous value to organizational efficiency and accuracy.
Business Process Automation has increased the capacity of a fixed workforce. By reducing the workload of individuals on repetitive tasks, it allows them to work on higher-value tasks.
Business Process Automation increases accuracy as well by defining a clear process with forms, emails, and document routing on each step. This leads to greater worker productivity.
