It offers HR teams tools to build out any performance management strategy so employees get a streamlined experience so they can focus on quality feedback and effective performance discussions.
Justworks is a competitively priced product for small businesses and start-ups and, in my opinion, offers a better product and better customer service than larger PEOs competing in the same small-buisiness space (ex. ADP). I believe Justworks would work well for companies up to 200 employees; after that, I believe a bigger PEO may provide an enterprise solution better suited for a larger company (and their HR reporting needs)
Perform Yard is best suited for business managers to monitor the performance of their employees, set and review goals as well as implement performance improvement plans. It’s not so ideal for small groups. The precise questions asked of the employees makes it perfect for the responses to paint the overall picture of the progress and production of the employee, and helps supervisors really gauge the output from their employees. Overall, it is a great tool to utilize for monitoring employees progress, as well as evaluate the employee at your end to assist with setting goals for the new year.
Onboarding employees on their first day. We use Justworks to set up the employee calculate the first payroll, and perform the I9 employment verification. The process is seamless and all can be done electronically and automated which makes it very simple
Payroll processing. Justworks automatically calculates the payroll earnings, related taxes and withholdings and will automatically withdraw and deposit the funds. This is a seamless experience
Customer Service. Justworks is incredibly responsive and helpful. HR related issues can be a nightmare but Justworks make it easier and more efficient since they are always on call to answer your questions and make life easier.

JustWorks couldn't accurately track our PTO. We use an accrual system that maxes out at 88 hours. We incentivise our employees with additional PTO hours based off of goals met. The JustWorks platform allowed our employees to accrue far more PTO than what was offered. They didn't have a feature that offered a Cap and accrual.
When using the JustWorks reports for 401K, if not using their integrated 401K provider, the reports give you every employee regardless of whether or not they contribute. This makes it difficult when adding the contributions in separately.
JustWorks tracks historical data for employees. Whenever there is a salary change made, it keeps track. However, it shows a salary adjustment made on the day they are entered into JustWorks which can be very confusing. We switched from another PEO mid year and it looked like I made salary changes on the beginning date. This made it difficult to differentiate an actual salary adjustment.
Don't really need to have multiple team member selection options in the dashboard. Would be more efficient to drill down from the team member selected rather than have to scroll through the list amongst all other team members data files.
Would be nice if contributors could also opine as to the perceived level of performance for the person they are commenting on, i.e., unsat, sat, excellent.
It has been excellent among the employees. It is a great way to keep up with the tasks and goals throughout the year. Manager/employee communication can increase with this program. It is very easy to use and understand. Navigation can be a bit tricky but the overall ease of going through it is splendid.
Justworks is a really good platform for payroll and even vendor payments. There are some areas of improvement that Justworks could make in the area of bulk processing, to decrease administrative time as well as reporting. There are no reports we currently use from the Justworks platform as we have not found them useful.
Everything is very easy to understand except more training is needed on how to use the reporting feature. You are assigned an account manager who walks you through every step of the process when you sign on to use PerformYard.
Justworks offers many different options for customer service. You can contact them via email, phone or Slack. They are quick to resolve issues and if your Account Manager is out of office, they have other Managers covering your account who are knowledgable and ready to support. They also have an office in New York, which makes their support even more localized.
The support from PerformYard is unmatched when compared to other systems I have worked with. Not to say that the support personnel always have an immediate answer, but they are so committed to solution and timeliness that it is not long before we are able to work through any issues. Emails are quickly returned for ease of access, and they never fail to offer to hop on a call and visually walk through something if that may help the issue!
Training for PerformYard was fantastic and very easy to understand! I highly recommend this product to any company. It is super helpful for communicating with staff, for keeping track of your goals, tasks and reviews for the current (or past) year. Definitely get online training for implementation. You won't regret it!
Our Human Resources department handled the implementation of PerformYard and they did a fantastic job. A tutorial was sent out via email to all employees with a requirement of viewing it. In additionto that, a ZOOM session was scheduled so that any questions or concerns could be answered after viewing the tutorial.
Justworks is a much simpler platform with better pricing. I remember ADP's cost was tied to a certain percentage of the total payroll, which is not ideal if you have highly compensated employees. Though ADP offered more ancillary benefit options and group employee discounts, we feel Justworks suffices and meets our daily HR needs.
Well i cant really describe how PerformYard stacks up against them because there is no comparison here. PerformYard as blown these of the water no doubt about it. with everything from customer service to ease of use of the platforms. hands down PerformYard is the goto service for our company.
We're still new to Justworks, but for nearly everyone on our team, this is the dealmaker. Benefits plans are worth more than salaries to the best hires.In fact, part of the process we used to choose Justworks was to send their offering, in advance, to our team to approve of, first.
It has encouraged me to actually complete goals rather than "almost" complete them because I want to be able to check off the box.
Sometimes it's difficult to track goals without clear metrics, however, this might be a positive thing because it encourages the user to create metric-based goals.
One positive impact is the impact this program has on extrinsically motivated employees.
