Our company adopted PerformYard to solve the long standing problem of inefficiency with Performance Management. Our old process was a manual paper process that presented several problems but the main being: Bottleneck of routing for the paper reviews, and the cumbersome process to track reviews and execute them to the authors.
- Customer Service! The service support is unmatched compared to other vendors! Our rep is nothing short of amazing with her timeliness, helpfulness, and ability to navigate the issues we encounter!
- Streamlining automated reviews - Effortlessly send out a whole years reviews in one sitting!
- Auto updating from our HRIS system - Automated SFTP integration with our HRIS system to auto update employee fields and keep the system up to date with less manual process!
- I would like to see there be more functionality and customization with groups and review assignments
- Reports are a bit hard to get at first, more easy on demand reports would be helpful
- PerformYard has had a positive impact on our business objectives as we can allocate more time to other items that we used to spend on Performance Management with that being automated and electronic
- HR is able to have more productive conversations with managers about performance management without having to worry about discussing the process of it (routing, issues etc.) Our conversations with management are now geared towards how can they improve their performance management of their employees and how they can give better feedback
We demoed Trakstar Performance Management Software when we were initially looking for this type of program. PerformYard overall just had more options and a better user feel to their system. The service from the reps who worked with us in the beginning also was a big selling point as to why we went with PerformYard.

We did not purchase premium support because of cost.
In our building out of our SFTP integration with our HRIS system for automatic updating the SFTP file grabbed the wrong field from the HRIS system and caused MANY things to go out of whack in PerformYard when the changes were processed. Upon getting to the office Monday morning (the file processes on Sunday evenings) I saw the issue and emailed our rep right away. She called and we were QUICKLY able to revert the changes, put the SFTP file back in testing mode so we could monitor it more, and the system was back into the same spot as we needed it to be.
Our rep then coordinated with our HRIS system rep and cleared up the issue that caused it and now the process runs smoothly with little to no interaction from us.
