I really feel like [LinkedIn Talent Hub] has great potential to be used by many many companies. I think if it is made a little more user friendly with a little more development on the back end to remove some bugs, this could be a potential game changer. I have enjoyed working and getting to know this.

For us, Litmos does what we need it to do. It houses all of our training in one place and allows us to send it out to our entire staff quickly and easily. The only area we really struggle is with eSignatures. We use this feature for memos, but instead of using the actual eSignature, we use an assessment because it gives us the ability to lock it after one attempt so that someone doesn't log back in and show that it's no longer signed.

With the business I am in I have to be able to search and reach potential candidates from hours away due to the scope of the contract we have covering a solid couple hundred sq. miles of the state; so being able to have a software that can search, sort, rank, and suggest candidates without having to spend ours of time or driving hours for an interview I can connect with one person and make a decision and have the software there for them and send an email or two with the steps and instructions and 5 minutes later be doing the same for another candidate hours away without even needing to leave the office or even from home and knowing that I'm able to monitor and adjust the steps or make adjustments along the way and being able to trust that it is choosing quality candidates and able to help me hire the right people to do my job to keep my contractors and homeowners safe is amazing for our business.

Pros
LinkedIn
  • Source of talent - LinkedIn has become the #1 place to engage talent.
  • Targeting / advertising / sponsoring employment ads are very effective. They are costly, but effective.
  • Connecting with talent via InMails and ability to send InMails to a pretty targeted audience with ease is great. This allows you to reach out/connect fast with people that "fit" what you are looking for. Other sites for recruiting, etc. are hit and miss. The quality of results is the strongest on LinkedIn and has been for many, many years.

  • Content Authoring: Litmos has a good content authoring tool that provides options for designing engaging and interactive courses.
  • Reporting: Litmos reporting tools and reporting engines are clear to understand, the come with useful features that allow for tracking completion, learning and engagement.
  • Course Library: Litmos has an extensive course library that we can reorganize into learning pathways to accomplish set learning objectives for our team.
  • Customer Support: We have seen Litmos Customer support improve over the time we have been customers. Not only are there helpful resources within the Litmos University, we also have access to skilled support from our Customer Success Manager and the Litmos Technical Team.

Zoho
  • Like other HR-based services, Zoho Recruit allows you to track the behavior of candidates during the execution of your hiring process, so that you can create constant notes of any problems that may arise and that may prevent a proper job.
  • The relationship between employers and candidates can be measured, which is excellent for creating reports on the development of each hiring process, and employees can then be evaluated on their ability to manage and communicate correctly with each candidate under their direct care.
  • Hiring sessions can be recorded using a variety of methods. It does not necessarily have to be done using an audiovisual recording tool (which is possible through different integrations) but a convenient recording system that allows you to note down important data, and where even the candidate's photographs can be saved.
  • We believe that some features of Zoho Recruit's support service could be improved, although this is probably a general service by the Zoho team for all their programs. The staff is not sufficiently explanatory, and therefore we have not been able to meet our expectations for troubleshooting.
  • We like that using Zoho Recruit is so convenient, and that it interfaces well with the other services that the entire Zoho suite has to offer: Zoho Recruit is a good alternative for human resources, which shows a reliable and easy-to-manage operability, so that all registration and follow-up processes are simple.

Cons
LinkedIn
  • Reporting. Major lacking here. If a job is closed then reopened (which that feature was recently removed), all reporting is wiped clean and picked back up with the "reopen" date. So it doesn't give a full history of the job activity.
  • Lacks adequate approvals in the system.
  • If you're a company with a risk of audits, I would not recommend Talent Hub. They lack compliance: the system allows us to "hire" someone who never applied to the job. Req history could be incomplete with the way reporting functions are set up. The system puts passive "sourced" candidates and applicants in the same bucket for pipeline workflows. Disposition status is inadequate and greatly lacking, etc.
  • Dashboard is not customizable.
  • We do not have our own unique req IDs. The system generates project IDs but these numbers are shared with all their clients, they're not unique to Ora so they are somewhat random and not in order.
  • They do not differentiate between a networking project and an approved requisition.
  • There's more, too many to list.

Litmos
  • Litmos' email automation leaves a lot to be desired. When using SAML single sign on, a user can forward a reminder email to a colleague and it will include the link for _their_ training, if the recipient completes the training it report as being completed by the sender.
  • Litmos' functionality around assessments is terrible. It is impossible to give partial or weighted credit for a question during marking. It's impossible to undo a mistake in marking or go back to the question. Hotspot questions are not worth using. Learners entering a test again after completing but before marking is done will erase their attempt's ability to be marked. There is more that is just unacceptable here. We make tests using microsoft forms because it's easier and more accessible.
  • Many group admins are also learners, and will so infrequently use their admin portals, that they should not default to admin.
  • We have imports from our HR platform to Litmos, which is convenient. Occasionally someone gets set up twice, which is a problem with the intergration or stuff that helpdesk does. However, merging two learner records should not be a huge hassle of enumerating all of the courses and manually marking them complete. There should be a way to do this in the software.
  • Reporting in general leaves a great deal to be desired. There should be some more controls for xAPI/tincan modules that allow us to customize the level of tracking there. Articulate Rise uses a manifest that gives the LMS what it needs to integrate, why can't we see interaction data from the eLearning there like we could with LRS statements? If I make a storyline block or have a rise interaction, I should be able to see all the elements folks click and what they get hung up on.
  • Litmos should support standard Training and L&D measurement frameworks. There's no reason we shouldn't at least be able to have a dashboard for a course that includes survey data, assessments, boosts, and maybe a manual place to put in business impact KPIs. Think kirkpatrick/Phillips ROI.

  • Zoho Recruit should allow for customization of pipelines based on department/role to be hired.
  • Zoho Recruit should allow for customization of the vendor portal allowing the vendor to type in key data points about candidate profiles that are typically not found on the resume, such as notice period, current salary and expected salary.
  • Zoho Recruit could simplify the blueprinting process built into the tool which allows for smooth flow of candidates through the system.

For what we need in the very near future, Litmos does not offer us the required capability. Ideally, we are looking for an integrated LMS, coaching, mobile support and content creation platform. Litmos may have the LMS part covered but there are other platforms that do this better along with providing an integrated all-in-one service or at the very least support API integration with other vendors to meet our requirements.

We have evaluated every other ATS on the market, and do so every 1-2 years just to make sure we aren't missing out on anything better, and found that Zoho offers more functionality than any ATS with a per-recruiter-price under $100. Once it introduces automated job alerts and candidate login functionality there will be no reason for us to look elsewhere.

The LinkedIn Talent Hub is a very easy to use and widely known by other users. If someone is hiring, its very visible and accessible. I have never had trouble posting exactly what I need. It's really easy to use. I just search the platform for my requirements, play a demo before downloading it, and then drag and drop it into my LMS. It couldn't be simpler. The only reason it isn't a 10 is that some courses don't have better summary descriptions or additional materials.

Although we never experienced any issues with the LinkedIn Talent platform or required any support, we always knew in the event that we did need assistance, it was readily available. LinkedIn as a whole is always very supportive and responsive whenever I've had any issues or even a simple question in the past. I'm sure anyone experiencing difficulties with the platform would have a resolution from the support team just about instantly.

If I could give it a negative rating I would. Worst support from any program I have had. Everything is back and forth in the support ticket. The one time I tried to chat they could not support the question. Their support page is so full of sections and products I can never find anything I need, even with a customized home page. I was hopeful that once they left SAP support might improve but it has not. I don't even know who my account executive is. Nobody has ever reached out to me. I need someone to guide me through best practices for our company and there is nobody to do that.

I give Zoho Recruit this rating because over all, it has helped me to organize my candidates and saved me time and energy in organizing them myself. Without Zoho Recruit, I simply would not be able to keep my talent pool straight, and it certainly gets the job done. I took off a couple points because if I download a resume after already inputting the candidate into Zoho, it won't automatically sync the two profiles up. It also does not remind me when a task is expired.

We have done two implementations. The first wasn't completed by me, but the second was. I had to do a lot of data migration across from the first system into the new instance. This was really time-consuming, and it would have been great to have had an option for someone else to have completed this for us. Learning about the tool has also been up to us, and whilst the content was good, it was also high level and broad, and then getting into the specifics of our setup was really just left to us to complete on our own and have a go. We got there, but probably could have been faster with some additional support from a consultant.

It's definitely better than other competitors because of one a better pool of candidates, who are well categorised and filtered, and the database is well updated. Also, it has a better UI with end to end hiring requirement management, that helps to make hiring faster and smarter. The UX though is a bit laggy, which can be improved

  • Positive impact. The tool has helped us in finding quality candidates for our hard to fill positions!
  • Helps in “pipelining” even after we fill a position, we make a folder of prospective candidates that we find through the platform. This list is then revisited once we have additional positions!
  • Outreach to global candidates. We have an office in Spain and we have found so many qualified candidates on the platform to fill those positions!

  • For one of our product lines, what used to require 8-10 onboarding calls now only needs two and we are aiming to get that down to just one or potentially none. Customers can learn on demand using the courses we have constructed for them and continue their learning live with trainers.
  • By hosting all of our training in one place, we have made onboarding much more straightforward for employees — they can learn the product (same training we give customers) and also get their InfoSec and other training in one place.
