Pivotal Tracker

I've enjoyed using Pivotal Tracker, and found it's great for QA and bug finding/fixing. When building something and implementing features, it's good at keeping track of the stories, but a lot of it's functionality isn't as useful. Overall, it's definitely a worthwhile addition to the building of many assorted projects.

  • Summarize and track larger feature and project status with Epics.
  • Help easily break down projects into testable, manageable user stories.
  • Bring tasks and bugs into one structure.
  • Collaboration between multiple developers is simple.

  • Would like to be able to move stories around in a filter view and not just in backlog
  • Autosync and refresh of updates would be nice

I love the simplicity, non-configurability, and price/performance of this tool. Hands down my favorite project management tool for agile.

Alternatives Considered

JIRA is very complex, while tracker is more straightforward to use. Tracker requires less micromanagement and upkeep. Asana is pretty but not useful for product and engineering build. It is more geared towards design projects.
